yeah lets call it xmas socks.  

If you want to G4G with strangers for whatever reason instead of Secret Santa, a good way to be safe is by booking people early, days before gifts come out. Because by the first day all the scammers are out and I found it quite hard to find some legitimate traders the past year.  

After reading the posts here and seeing how many views and responses I have to say that I'm completely surprised how many views and reply/posts this has gotten.

After reading the comments I have to agree that yes Christmas is about giving but lets be honest this graal where people will scam you for a 60 gralat turkey. Even hosting a fashion show saying there's a prize (gift) people lose their minds.

As for saying its the person's fault for getting scammed I think isn't exactly a fair thing to say. Most of the people that get scammed are usually newbies. Just yesterday I got a pm from some girl asking "do you know where the secret Santa is". Another instance was just recently when a guy pmed me holding up a gift high up in the air for all the vultures to see asking "what do i do with this". My problem with scammers is that they usually prey upon the weak newbies that don't know any better.

As for a g4g trade system or any trade system I'm 99.9% positive that classic won't be see a trade system any time soon. Even though it would result in a booming graalian middle class.  

My favorite attempt that people use to get gifts is when they PM you asking for a free gifts to help them reach their goal, saying they're only 1 away from it. Pretty obvious that they're never gonna change that number and just keep telling people they're at 99/100 or something.  

I got scammed once because I was too naive to gift my "partner" first. As soon as I gifted her, she kicked me from her house and blocked me. The day after, she actually tells mes she'll gift me. She actually was a generous human being, but she needed a hand from me to figure it out.

As soon as she blocked me, i went on my computer, started mozilla and played graal on my browser. New account, she hadnt blocked me yet. I waited for her to go offline, and set axife mouse recorder to spam her until she went online and blocked me. A single hour of inactivity from her was hundreds of messages i could send. She blocked me several times, but deleting my history and cookies reset my account so I was free to message her again. She probably got tired of this because she unblocked my main acc and told me she needed to do the daily quest to get the gralats required.

There actually is a decent person in a scammer's heart, you just need to help them find it.

Just a quick question , has the opening times for gifts been changed? Just noticed when u grab gifts it says that specific opening times will be available on the 24th? Does this mean they will open earlier or is it different for each timezone? It's usually something like midnight for me

I think the 24th thing is leftover from last time. News says EST 6 pm, on the 25th.

Just checked. Yeah It was used to be 25th 6PM. But I guess cause of the VIP early opening system. They now changed to be determined.

or perhaps a lag reducing plan. IDK

i think last year i saw a dude scamming many noobs with his fake gpic. he was never punished. but I am sure he got lots of reports on him.

scam is a scam. but there's a reason why graal has set up a toll for secret santa. use that daily. u should be good.

Secret Santa is more of a scam than actual scamming itself. I think there's a limit to Secret Santa and per gift, u gotta spend 10 gralats. I think if the limit and the gifting fine disappeared, there would really be no reason to get scammed by others. Besides if someone gets scammed, it ultimately is the scam-ee's loss and not the scammer's.

No scammer gets "tired of PMs and eventually gifts you". Serious and hardcore scammers(in this game) will enjoy your spam and give you more pain

1st, idk why secret santa takes 5+min per gift?? when there's 20ppl in front of it.
2nd, why put the limit?  

I wish the damn gifts would say who they're from in your house so I can remember who it was that gifted me

They put a limit cuz otherwise anyone with 350K gralats could get Max gifts without a single person actually getting them a gift. It's good that there's a limit imo

If they want to reduce lag it'd be better to allow gifts to be opened in the morning , so everyone can open them when they get up , rather than everyone being on at 6pm EST and trying to open them. It's easier just to log on the next day and do it for me
