People report each other all day for pKing lol, everyday somebody with less than hundred hours. Says they reported me for killing them then they go on to harass me. Ow multiply that by one million and you'll see why the report button is fun  

I think people have the right to know what staff members are around. So I definitely believe the sign should be put back. Players have the right to report bad staff.
Before anything, I had no idea who the staff were. So when I used to see some around, and couldn't catch their name on time (or a quick screen shot), I would remember their look and just head to Kiosk. I'll look at the sign, and I would find out what staff member that was. It had always been a lot of help. And everyone knows there's always that staff doing something they shouldn't be. So I don't see why it should just be seen like a 'read this and worship'. And with all the new staff... Who's ganna know who's who?

Why do you need to know whos who?? There is literally no reason you to know staff names. None. If you have a problem, feedback and report.

I get an error message whenever I include admin in feedback and since the sign is removed I dont know who to contact for my in-game issues.

The whole reason we got rid of the contact sign is it directly praised the staff and condoned them for their work publicly.

I can't be the only one who thinks this is just a strange reason. I'm pretty sure 90% of the people who went to check those signs did it because they were looking for someone they could contact when they needed assistance, not because they were going there to appreciate a list of people who volunteered their time...

As a matter of fact, I just went there to search for a name of a staff member who could clear a guild pic for me because it's been two days since I feedback'd the request...  

Its highly difficult to contact staff now, using toonslab isn't something that can react as fast as contacting an admin straight up. :/

It does indeed seem like a very poor reason, to me. I believe the other reasons given, i.e. that they'd like all of their resources to be equal and that it was unfair to those generating e-mail tickets, are more valid. If there is a rampant issue with staff becoming too big-headed over their positions, then I suppose this makes a bit more sense in that context.

However! Saying that staff should not be recognized is a counter-productive to the Graal staff model of 'hiring' unpaid people to do hard work for little to no recognition. If answering questions all day in a level-headed manner has the unfortunate side-effect of creating celebrities out of the more visible staff while the invisible staff have no clout, why not just mention all of the unseen people as well? So long as your staff members are not acting out of their expected behavior, I know I would much rather have my volunteers feel like they are a welcome addition rather than a nothing person dedicated to penniless work without note.

The interesting issue here is that the entirety of what was said above does not, in any way, address the issue that the sign was much simpler (or perhaps more familiar) than the e-mail ticket solution. Apples and oranges, really. If nothing else, you've got to make it very clear how you've transitioned away so as to not cause any confusion to people. That this thread exists is a good sign that people will make up their own reasons, often negative, to the benefit of no one.

The sign should be put back because knowing who the staff member Are seems important, a lot of people need help and directly just reporting a person or feedbacking does not solve the problem all the time. Feedbacks are only checked if a staff member is online at the time you send it in and same goes for the reports, correct me if I'm wrong. Being able to communicate with staff is our right and often it's easier to explain the situations while they can respond faster and take actions. Toonslab is most of the time a waste of time, responce is usually to talk to an admin or report the player ect...

Was in same guild as him recently and my friends and I (including the guild leader) were discussing our views privately in guild chat when instead of leaving because he didn't like them he got salty said he was a developer and was going to ban us, still haven't been banned.  

Staff need ther name there so people know they exist
You can also add then all to see who is online
and Go there to pm staff members about some issues you are having
Even though their are other ways of communication to staff you will know which staff know how to answer
