the show has improved so much now that they've stopped placing so much emphasis on romantic relationships. the only reason aang and katara (barely) worked is because it was just kids who had crushes on one another, and the characters weren't forced into it - the only relationship that would actually seem convincing on legend of korra is asami and korra

I will say one thing I am very disappointed in is that Korra is not communicating with Raava at all. After season 3 and Korra losing touch with the rest of the Avatar's I figured she would begin to communicate with Raava instead... but nope. I was hoping she'd have a much more personal relationship with Raava akin to Wan and Raava.
