Ahhh forum newbies fighting with forum vets.... Guys I love minor tweaks and updates so much. Kinda a little secret for forum users to impress others :-) Classic's staff is amazing.. They are friendly, helpful, and great friends as long as you don't come off as if they are gods. Graal classic grew massive really quick. Imagine it as a bush: it is a large plant, but lacking thickness and fruit (large map, playerbase, little content). The administrators are gardeners, lay fertilizer (detailed updates) every so often. After some time, the bush is a thick, fruitful plant (large playerbase, large amounts of content). The bush then flowers, representing a happy, large playerbase and staff. The server is growing. It was large with little content. The staff has added more content, and improved smaller, but important things. Time is key. |

he already stated that most of that was from his early days on classic. Most players no-life it in the beginning(especially 11-16 year old's) and they eventually come to their senses(well most of them, some will be part of the council).

I'm fine with a select few players choosing what happens, as long as they are intelligent and responsible individuals. I'd much rather see Rufus, Dusty, and FP4 handling changes rather than some handful of random guild leaders (or whatever the current idea is, I only skimmed). They're people who are smart enough to turn down something even when the vast majority support it. Just because a lot of people want something doesn't make it good or right for the game. Like I said in another thread recently though, I'm pretty sure the difficulty isn't in finding the right ideas but more the people willing to volunteer their development skills to make them happen. Every single person in this thread is capable of coming up with ideas on how to make the game "better" (though I'm sure some of them are awful), but 1 or 2 people who have replied are actually capable of scripting, levels, and graphics. |

The only real features I see as plausible that's been suggested is guild houses actually being what they are, in terms of a place members can drop furniture into one place (not the leaders GH, an actual guild house that links to the guild). A log to see the recent activeness of members, you'd have to be given the power to access it. Something about joining and leaving, I can't remember what exactly was suggested, but it was a good idea. Things such as 'a daily guild boss quest' seem silly on Classic standards, imo. I'm more inclined towards guild vs guild activies/minigames such as CTF, war etc. |
