Should I Preorder Elder Scrolls Online?
Can anyone confirm if its worth it? Looks like a really fun game, nice graphics, and a huge world, but I'm a bit wary about the $15/month subscription fee. edit: sorry wrong subforum. Meant to post to gaming. |

I refuse to play any MMO that doesn't have PvP on an open world, meaning I'll probably never play and enjoy another MMO again. I haven't played it, but, based on Albus' review of it, I'd just say you might as well try Neverwinter instead. At least it's free, sounds the exact same.

what about the everquest next alpha? Apparently that's live and I can buy that now for $60(or $100 if I want early open beta access).

TESO doesn't look that great. EQN will probably be the better of the two.

Was gonna get it but was steered away by the subscription fee. One year of TESO is equivalent to three years worth Xbox Live Gold subscriptions. If I want online gaming I'll just stick to gold.

Yea but EQN is ages away, probably at least 2-3 years away. Everquest Next Landmark(seperate game) is going to just be a fancy Minecraft. |

yup thats the reason why you never EVER pre order games. Unless its from Nintendo since they always delay games to make sure the product is perfect at launch. |

I'm beta testing, but I personally don't plan on buying it. Doesn't quite feel like a game worth paying $60 plus monthly fees (and any ingame purchases). I don't know how much further along in the beta I played than Albus, but he sounds about right. Some parts looked good, but the majority didn't catch my interest.

Well pretty much my entire PC repair class plans on getting it, so I guess I will. Getting pretty bored of Guild Wars 2/Tera, and Archeage/EQNext are miles away. I guess I'll get ESO to pass the time. |

Could always hold out for Wildstar, which may come out around the same time.
