Seriously? You think giving the rich lots of breaks is going to help the economy? You don't see the connection between Trump being one of those people, and his family, and why he might be pushing for that? The problem is all these tax breaks and such that rich would get doesn't get put back into the businesses. It's just pocketed and the only people who benefit are the ones on top.

I love how these guys are talking so much **** about Hillary. Yeah she did some things wrong, what politician hasn't, but to keep defending Trump who has no such experience as a politician. Who is just a business man who didn't pay taxes for 20 years is unbelievable. If we put him in office everything is going to stay the same, but the rich won't 'be paying taxes I'll tell you that, and it won't fix the economy. They'll just keep getting richer. At the end of the day their is no arguing who'll win this election we already know Hillary got this in the bag. Shes going to use Donald's anger against him. Then she'll sit back and laugh.

The issue is the expectation that it's the rich people who solely have to and can fix your economy, taxing them more and more is no solution to your problems, you've had this system in place for years and yet it's still failing horribly, not that hard to understand why

Do you? Not taxing the rich by a much higher percentage creates massive inequality within the economy, which obviously is bad for growth. Wealthy people also save a much higher percentage of their income compared to everyone else, this means less consumption and therefore less growth. Taxes redistribute the income through government spending which does create growth.

#1 argument against Trump is he's a shady business man who avoided paying taxes, because that's what rich people do when they are over taxed.

You guys act like his only plan is to cut the tax of rich people, you should probably read up on his plan and maybe then you'll see why it makes sense to do what he's proposing.

That's what happens when there's loopholes, it's not a problem with the percentage they're taxed - people will always want to avoid paying large amounts of money if they can.

Trump claims he wants to close loopholes, he's lies about pretty much everything he says so what makes you think he'll do this when it's benefiting him more than it does most?

High taxes on the rich could also cause them to hide their money in other countries actually leave the country. It could also deter people from growth in business because they're taxed so much that it isn't worth it, which could hurt the economy and its growth.

In my opinion, taxes is one of the few stupid things to argue about on a level like this because taxes are too complex and are intertwined with too many things that every argument can be easily refuted. Arguing about the issue causes it to be simplified to the point where the argument is pointless.  

You think Hilary can fix the economy? She's useless.

Trump is rich and can continue getting richer he'd make more money doing what he does than being president, he wants America to dominate the economy, and he of all people is the one that has the know how to do it.

I didn't say she could fix it, I just think Trump would be equally as useless.

Yup he's rich, so you'd think he'd want to benefit the rich right? He wants to reduce corporation tax and income tax for those in higher tax brackets, both of which benefit him massively.

What he is suggesting is just trickle-down economics, something that has been shown time and time again not to work.
