That would be the ideal, but we have a few rules regarding events. We can't host one unless there's at least two more GPs online so the reports don't go unchecked, uploads also can't stop being reviewed, those are our priorities.

i asked once and the person i asked said there were some restrictions that made it a little harder than just hosting the event

i dont really understand how this happened though, people always say that GPs are in it for the fame, and imo hosting events was the quickest way there. why not host then? maybe most of the current gps aren't in it for the graal fame?  

This is my take on events.

I've been playing Graal Classic on and off since 2009. I have never really cared all that much about events but it's clear that others do. Over the years I have seen events change and evolve, mostly for the worse but all the changes have been justified. Something that seems very apparent though is that there aren't enough staff members, or there aren't enough members that aren't from the US. Seeing as though the majority of players are from the US, it would make sense to have a lot of US staff but even at 3am (US time), there are still 2,000 players on. Those players, I would imagine, are mostly from other countries.

Between approving uploads, actually policing and hosting events, there just doesn't seem to be enough staff. Now I am in no way saying that the staff isn't doing their jobs or that they are being lazy etc, I'm saying there should be more staff to support the growing population of Graal. It would also take some of the work load off of the staff as a whole.

Back to events. Having some sort of bot or event house is a great idea, or even a schedule for when events are to be held so players know what's going on. Also, the queue system may be the best option in terms of who gets to participate in events, but I personally have yet to take part in an event in over 3 months, and I have entered the queue for most likely the majority of events. I don't really care about being in an event really, just the fact that I have yet to be chosen is odd though. It's funny that as I wrote this, an event was held...

Because apparently ******s complained that the same people win every time so now your chances of getting into an event (which are rarely ever even hosted anymore) is like 1%

Because too many people in one area can crash the npc server. It's the primary reason why event doors are sparingly used.

Is that statement actually true? I've never seen it happen. Maybe some lag, but I've never seen the server crash from this.  

Think it's time for Colin to put an end to this chaos.

Sorry but the event system just stops the same people from getting into the events over and over. It says something when the major complaint is "I never get into events again" because they were so used to getting into it so much. The events were almost exclusively for a small group of players and imo that seems way less fair.

To say that's what killed events is pretty stupid.

I think they should just host events more often, the reason that it was so exclusive was because few players knew the map, the luck system is pretty poorly done but I suppose it's pretty effective with it's main purpose. Events should be hosted more oftenly though, they're almost unheard of now, I've seen about one event in the past year.

They wouldn't need a person to host if they were just done automatically.
With a currency instead of hats as prizes, then players can choose what they want to buy, after winning enough events.

The NPC Server crashed. I believe there was a thread about the server being down. Someone posted that Marshmallow had just placed a warper prior to it.

Why would that person place a warper in the first place, when this is a known issue?
