Think of it like this, Ping == Input Pong == Output Ping/MS is measured from your network/device (packet being the input) and when that packet reaches another network/device it reflects back (which is where the Ping-Pong analogy comes from) However, your Ping/MS is being measured therefore Pong does not matter and doesn't really hold value. |
