Regarding iFiling
I understand how you could get mad at someone for iFiling your hard work, but you need to understand that there is simply no way for the iClassic staff to stop such a problem. The reason this is so is because some people (I would say most) utilise the browser’s built-in cache, or on Android devices I think you can access the cache from within your device (what I am saying is people usually use alternate, unavoidable or unstoppable methods to acquire graphics, and not the actual jailbroken app, iFile). I personally use the cache to gather swords and shields that I can edit to make them suitable for myself. The only way to combat the stealing would be to apply bans etc. to players who are found to be stealing, this obviously cannot be done however since it hasn’t happened yet and I’m sure reasons have been given.

A limited ban from uploading with an option to appeal should be enough to deal with the problem.

But this is what I wanted to suggest anyways, the first person to upload the head or whatever it is should receive an ID similar to the graal ID. By having this ID this means you're basically the original owner of that upload. If someone ifile your head and upload it, you can report them and include the upload ID in the report then the head should be refunded. I will be honest I don't know ifling works and i'm not sure what could get in the way if my suggestion was considered. |

1. they need to revamp their custom system (if you want to warn/ban people from stealing) ^- I have shared an idea about this before, but I can't find it. it was something like when people upload their heads, it appears on Taylorrichaards, any public heads can be worn by a code for free (or can pay 10k gralats). Private heads can be worn by uploader. This would significantly reduce the files. Any duplicates would be removed. 2. there's barely any original creation, everything is edit from older files (from pc graal..) |

Make uploading a paid privilege. Get artists to pay a subscription to be allowed to upload/generate graphics. This could even be an intermediary staff position instead of payment being made. Get some sort of system in place that takes the problem and makes it into a resource. There's a bunch of issues in the game that have possible solutions like this, it just takes some creativity to act on it.

There is plenty of ways graal can stop and or completely eliminate Ifiling all together, Example change how things are saved, Don't leave it accessible for clients(Players) to view. You can make it possible where the game only saves certian files (Like default heads and bodies, things you can buy at Lavenders, basic heads like Nexus 8Bit heads. Things not a personal custom). And among a dozens of other things that can easily be done. One of the biggest issues i find with Ifiling is that fillers make customs less and less valuable, Less unique and overall I've seen many GFX artist simply refuse to make people customs in risk of ifiling. Literally like it you made top notch paintings for a living and someone takes them and say they made it |

Remember when they were called personal uploads? They still are, you say? ![]() iFilers have ruined the term, and admins don't do anything about it. The admins only care if someone is iFiling if it is their own head that is stolen, which breaks the rule of admin impersonation. I do not think this is fair, @admins please regard players. May as well call them public uploads if this keeps up. ![]() This is not acceptable. (I added him to keep track of his username just in case he changes it, since he is trying to avoid the fact that that he stole my PERSONAL UPLOADED head from me.) |

There's nothing wrong with accessing files uploaded to Graal and it has been this way for decades. It is a **** move to use someone else's work without their permission though.

in MS2(MapleStory2), people can steal your file, but as soon as you upload that and publish to the ugc(user graphic creation) and caught, you'll be perm banned from ugc. but the thing about graal, most people's head are variant of couple basic heads that's been out for years. how are you gonna punish them? (prob best for graal to claim them as neutral heads for edits) unless it's a unique thing like zedfox's head, otherwise it'd be hard to claim it yours.
btw i thought any animal ears weren't allowed in heads.

As well as all of the technical issues and drawbacks that likely prevent a solid system from being put in place, such a system would be way too complex to implement in my opinion. Even if we were able to somehow identify the player who was first to upload something, where do we draw the line on protecting uploads? Do we just remove identical heads? What about heads with small changes such as some pixels changed on the eyes/mouth? What about re-colours or skin tone changes? What about design changes, such as different hair? What about small parts of an upload, such as eyes or hair, that are stolen from one head and put on a completely different one ? Before we know it, we'll reach a scenario where people will report others for having a head that looks similar to theirs, even though their head is an edit of a head from a website. I understand it's annoying, as it has happened to myself before, but sadly I think that there is just no clear solution, and I'm sure people would just find away around it anyway. Animal ears are indeed allowed on heads. See a full list of rules for classic here: https://www.graalians.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40291 |

Though one thing I think people will say is that doing this will somehow be drastically hurting peoples mobile data, Its very unlikely that would ever happen due to how low data graals files are. For example if we said every head and body was 15kb each which is what they are around anyway on average. If you tried to meet and load in all 4000 of classics players customs (which is in itself a feat of you can even meet half them every day) but if you do thisnevery single day for 30 days. You'd really only consume around 360mb to 500mb at the very most. Which for an MMORPG of like Classic's player base size, That's actually insanely low especially when common MMORPG games can easily take up several GB of data a month |

This can never be fixed, there's not really a point in discussing it once again

Back in my day we didn't have this problem of people stealing our custom heads. Why you ask? We didn't have personal uploads...mind blown. Ya'll should be happy that 1. you can wear custom heads instead of those nooby default heads and 2. other players like your heads enough to spend 20k on them. BUT I feel your pain. History lesson: Back in day we were only allowed to upload swords and shields. We had to email them to a graal email and they would take a week to a month to upload them(they were free btw) So I thought I was super gfx pro when I was the first to use the wing template to upload a shield that had a china hat in the back when you're character was sideways. It took graal like a month to upload it. I was the coolest player running around with my epic shield (this was before TR, so i was being spammed with "code?") Well at least for 1 day. The next day petz had copied my idea and used his admin friend to upload different variations of my epic shield :cries: lol |
