You guys would have to find a way to merge your streams together, I think it would look cool at first, for a video at least, but I'd really like to see just the semis and finals (If I were watching the stream), before the main matches it's nice to see some good matches and random matches are inevitable with 96 teams. Does the bracket refresh on it's own, while you are viewing it, or do you have to close the bracket in order for the lineups to refresh? |

Could always have several people streaming (the usual suspects, Zet, James, Droid, etc) and just multi-twitch all their streams and put the link somewhere visible online if admins wanted to support it. I would've said I could stream cuz I didn't expect to be competing but I have free time and probably picked up a team and I don't have a second PC capable of streaming. |

I've also been testing streaming a lot, the #1 most annoying thing is the idle disconnect thing... anyone have any ideas around this? |

On top of merging streams - multitwitch probably the better option tbh - several dedicated machines running stream to dedicated channels and all those channels displaying in one place is about all you can ask for. You can get full quality that way - I really don't know how a stream of a stream will look, maybe you can get pretty close to full quality there too with a good machine, I dunno, worth testing I guess. |

So we actually streamed tonight with voice chat streaming from Teamspeak. Myself, James, Cud + others floating in and out throughout the night (Rusty, Kosma, MK, Pae). It was really fun and we actually enjoyed it a lot. Only got 29 people max at once, but this was totally unplanned and we basically just PMed whoever was around. Had a couple admins stop in for a little while as well which was surprising. We were just messing around really. Talking about random ****, making jokes, trash talking each other, showed a few series on stream. There's probably some work to be done to make it more presentable (just fixing up screen regions, adding some other interesting visual stuff) and professional (we weren't too worried about the content in twitch chat or voice chat for tonight since it was such a small group of mostly just sparrers, so it got... interesting... at times). I think a dedicated stream once a week or every couple weeks for some series, guild spars, things like GST, etc could actually gain some traction if we announce them ahead of time. What would pull in more people is if we could convince an admin to even do something as simple as sending an admin announcement saying "Hey this stream is doing interesting stuff, go watch them." or something similar. However I feel like there's not much chance of that happening (unless maybe Owl & Bastablook can vouch for us being somewhat entertaining?) Also with some admin support this could reduce load on the servers during GST and get some more accessibility for people to watch GST. The support needed could be as simple as summoning some accounts into each GST spar room to get smooth footage for the stream (since the viewing area lags). It could also be as complex as streaming every room, featuring certain big matches and having people also commentating the big matches as they go. From there it would be trivial to embed the twitch stream on the facebook page, graalians, classic.graalonline.com, or even in-game if there was a need for it. This could reduce server load by moving large volumes of players away from the viewing areas (that many players in one place = RIP server). Either way, it was interesting. James will possibly (no guarantee) be able to cut the footage from the broadcast and take out the parts that people seemed to find somewhat entertaining to put into a youtube video, so people will hear about it if that happens. |

I can probably handle most of it but I'm also competing as of right now, so during my absence people will need to step in and I'll have to manage brackets as things go on. It's going to be crazy but I think it can be done, going to be trial and error. This was our better attempt at commentating, very hectic but it could work: All of this is being done on the spot and kind of being yolo'd so trying to make it work as best as possible. |

), having a bigger schedule of stuff so that the stream isn't just a single series to 10 and then nothing (this would be obviously mitigated by GST because it takes a few hours to complete). So yeah, we're having fun and we wanna improve. I'm gonna be setting up OBS eventually (sometime this week) and getting setup on the stream so I can stream stuff that happens if James is busy. We're also gonna try to come up with some kinda schedule once or twice a week where we'll just stream and do some random spars, a small tourney, some series, etc. People have been super helpful (Kuz organizing series in his GH for Sunday night, Silver transferring everyone to his when Kuz left, Dante asking us to stream the SST semifinals and stuff) and that's really awesome. |
