I have no problem with anyone who is gender-******ed, but it feels like pretentiousness when "issues" are brought forward like transgender bathrooms. Bathrooms may be separated for some sort of safety reasons, but also due to the different functionality of our genitals. So, If you have a ***** then go to the men's room, and if not then don't? Or, if you feel like you look masculine then go to the men's room? Use some honest self-reflection, I dunno. Seems pretty simple to me... I don't think it's nearly as much of an issue as they want it to be.

i support 'private, unknown, other' gender options. ^only thing i am worried about right now. transgender bathroom, *********s or rapist can easily dress up and identify themselves as a female and start harming people in the girl bathroom, and if men are serious about hurting girls, i don't think girls can really protect themselves. |

No, you shouldn't respect people "because they believe they are a different gender to what they are biologically", you should respect people because there's something called human decency (and also hello welcome to 2016). If someone believing they feel comfortable identifying as a different sex warrants you to not respect them as people, well then that's some of the most ******ed (and ignorant) stuff that's been posted in a while. btw i am talking about respect for people and their character, not for their decisions |

The coolest gay people are the ones who don't allow their entire life to revolve around their sexuality in meme-esque "I'm a vegan" fashion. I felt like in the late '90s/early 2000s, there was this certain pretentiousness from the gay community where everyone felt like they had to announce they were gay, and be fabulous, and seek attention at every turn due to their pride in something they have no hand in. Being transgender is just now becoming "cool" and otherwise accepted, probably due to the whole Caitlyn Jenner thing. I feel the same pretentiousness oozing from the transgender community. I'll be happy in a few years when everyone is tired of hearing about it and transgenders can just be transgenders and it won't be a big deal or worth making a big deal over. |
