Star Gazing Does she see all of those lights, Floating up high in the sky? Glowing brightly through nights, Though has she ever wondered why, They seem very impressive, But don't really catch her eye? It's because they can't live, Up to his shine, oh how they try. The moon is special, to be sure, How powerful it looks up there! Though could there be...something more? Something truly rare? Surely not, why believe that for? And yet...her heart starts beating fast... She feels it deep in her core... Could he, her star, be the one at long last? A blinding light shoots over her! Her eyes shut close tight! The sun has risen, as it were, Turning the sky to day from night! She wants to look upon it, but doesn't dare! This solar presence, so very bright! And yet...it still can't compare, To his smile...oh it feels so right... Even if all the planets were to align, It wouldn't mean a single thing. For she already had her sign, And she already bought the ring. She ran to him pleading, "Will you be mine?" Thinking to herself, why would he want this mess... If she could only be his... "Please, my Starshine!" And he took her hand, kissed her lips, and said yes. |

"'Tis some visiter," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door— Only this and nothing more." Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December; And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor. Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost Lenore— For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore— Nameless here for evermore.
