I think the new leaderboards would do well to be followed by a revamped towering system. Every time I visit a tower (apart from MoD), nobody is there aside from the guild holding it. This is a result of there being too many towers, and the easiness of defending a tower. I think towering could benefit greatly from something that would make it more competitive. For example, instead of the flag health being 100 or 150, it could be something like 30 or 50. With it being so low, it would be neat if taking a flag would be followed by a guild spar between the incumbent guild and the guild who took over the flag, with the winner being given ownership of the tower. It seems that towering has always been a game of which guild has more members, and something like this or some other change to increase competitiveness would greatly benefit towering as a whole.

The metric that guilds will use will no longer be hour-based, it'll be converted to a points system. Holding a tower will get you a specific number of points per minute/hour, and when a player leaves your guild you will lose a large sum of points. |
