I can't see anyone in the spar arena which is where most of my friends hang out at. So then I exit arena to go to where the left over friends are at and I can only see people within a 3 tile radius-if that. I go to the gift area I see no one. I see no one anywhere. This is like a single player online game what the heck clown.-.

Can u give us a option or something to chose if we wanna see friends or something cmom.

Hopefully this is just for time being til Xmas is over

Level phasing or whatever you call it really sucks. I suggested as well you should at least be able to see your friends when it happens because it takes away gameplay fun.

We have no control over it. Graal has a "render distance" that determines how far players will load, we simply tell it load a distance of 0. We can't tell it what players to render or not.

Currently you have no control over it... but it can be fixed...  

yeah i hate that this is a thing that is needed to be done to lower the lag. i mean it's an online game and to make it less laggy the online perspective is taken away in some areas just because of how bad it is

Yeah I understand why it was done, it seemed like (to me, my opinion) that it would be more of a temporary fix to reduce lag issues.

However I know you guys have no control over it (you do a good job with the tools you have), lead dev would be able to fix it/modify it which graal doesn't have  

less lag > cant see friends

im fine with it tbh, because i can just pm whoever

Excuse my GS2 ignorance, but couldn't you make it so specific players ignore the render distance, or are set to a higher one?  

The amount of players in the level controls how far ahead the client will see other players. More players, less render distance.

It probably won't be until spring before a new lead dev can fix the underlying architecture issues.
