The best system to me is collecting candy from npcs or catching thr ghosts with a net. Then trick or treating with the box houses to get the stuff.

I don't disagree with the fact that the ghosts are a good idea , however I think that there could be more ways to get candy :

Halloween themed baddies
A ship crashed near the graal seas ( so you can dive for candy )
Remember that bull from revolution that gave you a lasso ? Maybe there could be a Halloween themed one, it would cost some gralats to play but for maybe ever 30 seconds it could give you a piece of candy ?
Maybe the prize wheel could be reused to either get candy prizes from ( 1,3,5,10 being the less frequent )
Admins could give big candy prizes for winning events , some players would rather win hats so maybe the admin should ask the winner weather they want a hat or candy.
Some pyrats on graal are reallly fat looking , what are the chances that some of their berried treasure boxes are filled which what they love most , candy.

blanket the entire map in darkness

make deadwood useful for something besides the fort:
maybe do something cool with the graveyard there, like how that one gravestone behind the church can be pushed and entered. maybe put some type of quest in there with a boss baddy to kill for an item.

I think a bit of darkness added to the overworld would be really awesome and would set a wonderful mood for the holiday!

I'm pretty sure at Halloween the map is covered in fog anyways ?? Or my memory might just be playing tricks on me

halloween. o que horrible da lag. it must be stopped. server is doing well at the moment, but when i think about the halloween. its gonna tear apart. that's when i take a break from this game.

just mix old content with the latest one. ghosts drop a candy, players can collect candies from the house, players can play RPS on npcs for candies. if possible add a mini games too. Goody bag should cost 10/15 candies per each; don't make it like 100, 400, 1000 with highest one guarantees u a better item.

the servers actually doing really well lately since school started and all the 10 year olds (more than half of the graal players) are busy learning long division, doing homework, and going to sleep at their bedtimes.

For decoration purposes it would be cool if te big boat that leads to noob island was made into a ghost ship, maybe a semi trap aren't light blue or light colour.

I would like to see a Halloween costume contest, although it would wipe up a storm of "rigged" events threads and complaints, so I doubt it would happen.

Please don't do the goodie bags again, personally I think many people prefer the trick or treating. It also makes redeeming your prizes more of an activity, rather then just quickly spending all of your candy in a shop.

Revamp Deadwood and make a shop like Club Crypt with mounts/hats/morphs etc that can be bought with candy currency.
