How to deal with the scammer after you've been scammed. Or how to prevent it.

A guide to help the poor players who made the mistake of getting scammed.

The Disclaimer
I do not condone or endorse the act of scamming in any form, and I also think if you're in a suggestible situation that results in you getting scammed then it is likely your fault just as much as the player who is doing the scamming, such as account trading or things like that. But if it were just an honest 'mistake' as to where you didn't know your prices and didn't know better, well that's sort of a different story, but always remember to know your prices and don't do anything that is against the rules.

Preventing It
One of the most obvious and self-explanatory ways to prevent scamming that shockingly a lot of players don't realize is to just not give anybody your account information, or let them on your account, even your bestfriend could turn on you, just know that your account is your account, not your friends account, nor should you sell the account for a quick buck or item that you could just earn like the rest of the players do. Next is to always know your prices, simply ask about 10 players or less depending, and average up the results you got and see what it is then, of course make sure that all your sources seem reliable. And always know that not everyone is trustworthy and there will always be someone who's sole purpose in talking to you is to make some items or cash off of you.

Dealing with it after
If all else fails and you still somehow find yourself in a situation where you've been scammed, DON'T BEG FOR YOUR ITEMS BACK, just don't. Remember to keep your cool, and even act nice to the player, seeing as you were the one who made the mistake of doing it and he didn't pull the trigger on the gun, nor was he holding it to your head, and maybe even try to learn from the situation so that it won't happen again. However there might be a chance for your item, if you somehow manage to maintain contact with the player who scammed you and made it off to be not such a big deal, in time he might realize what he did was wrong and see that you aren't such a bad person and maybe even give your items back, who knows? Just remember to keep your cool and don't freak out afterwards because no good is going to come of it.

If you got scammed -> make another account get some hours and some kills , then start pming that guy try to get hes confidence , pm him every day so that he think you are a good friend , wait some weeks or months then booooom! Scamm him back so he will never do it again

A very long time ago, when I was a noob on iEra, I got scammed. Luckily, I knew a lot of fear tactics and I managed to scare the other person into giving my item back.

Tell me what fear tactics you've used.

It's really lame, but I told them that I knew their IP address (and to 'prove' myself, I sent them a PM with a random address). It worked for 2 or 3 people. This was a while ago, though.

1. Ignore PM's that ask for your account information
2. Block if the player doesn't stop harassing you
3. Report the player
4. Don't give out info no matter the price
