Riots and mobs in pking
Hello everyone! You might have seen me around graal. I am bob vigor, an Idevice sparrer. I don't PK often, but I have been recently. I'm here to bring up a very controversial topic. PK Mobs and riots. First off, we would be able to get rid of these riots/mobs by making pking zones in towers only (honestly, it doesn't have to be strictly in towers, there is just some main "mob" spots that need to be fixed). So anway, here are the reasons why many others including myself feel that these mobs should be put to and end: Pking is less competitive and takes far less skill- people are able to run into a mob, spam their sword for a few hours, and...BAM! They have huge stats! On the other hand, we have legitamte tower PKers who use skill and timing to PK the guild holding the tower. However, the "mob" PKers get far more kills than the legitamte PKers...even though there is much less skill involved. That is totally unfair. The game no longer appeals to new players- would you want to play a game if first thing after getting off the ship you get caught in a huge mob? I think not. The game is no longer enjoyable for a large part of graalians- A huge percentage of graalians PK; they do it because it's fun. It's fun because it's competitive. You can race your friend, rank on the leaderboard, or set a PK goal. However, PKing is barely competitive anymore due to the mobs. As I stated earlier, it takes less skill. This reason ties together with the first reason. Graal is eventually going to become a full map of sword spamming mobs- The population in classic is rapidly increasing. With the increase of players, there will be an increase of the mob sizes. That's my opinion. As I said (^) the population of graal is rapidly increasing; graal is a great game. However, great game or not, graalonlineclassic has some room for improvements. PS. I'm pretty sure I don't need to post screenshots. I'm possitive that most of you are aware of these mob PKers. The top PKers have names such as "riot at bridge" and they're in guilds such as (riot inc). |

IMO, if the argument against the riot PKers is "I don't like it!" (which is the case 99% of the time when people complain), then there's zero substance to it. If the actual concern is that it's trapping new players and making the experience less enjoyable for them, then there might be. Those 60-person riots at the bridge have probably been doing the latter. I'm a supporter of letting people play the game the way they want to and enjoy it however they please as long as it doesn't harm the game or other people. I don't believe in telling people the way they PK is "wrong" or forcing them to PK a certain way just because others have brainwashed them to think that there's a correct way (just because it's their preference). |

If pk zones were made smaller or limited to towers, wouldn't those areas just be a constant pk mob since they have nowhere else to pk? Rather than limiting pk zones to towers or smaller areas around the map, it might be a better idea to open up more areas for pk (*cough* Graal City *cough*) to spread the players around a bit. |

Even if you try to stop mob pking and restrict PK to towers only you will end up with towers being clustered and over crowded which also ruins fort PK. When mob PK wasn't even a regular occurrence the hallways at mod fort and the flag room was rather over crowded at certain times of the day and moving around was a pain the arse and with the screen freezing as well which wasn't fun at all, which to be honest killed pking for me, I saw where PKing was going so why bother? Even if there were PK zones actually designed for being a pking area people will use it to mob PK with their buddies and then advertise it in their nickname so basically whatever you do there will always be some sort of mob PK. The game has got too crowded now though it's not like it used to be and I don't think you can do anything. The people who make money of this game don't care at all it's a shame really Graal to me has been one of the most sociable, simple and easy to play games. It has so much potential but they don't care all, all they want is your money. |

Meh I just think it's BS how that guy Bahamut got 10k kills in one day by buying arrows and spamming down the bridge all day.

I don't think PKing that encourages the actual trapping and abuse of new players like that should be encouraged or even allowed, but some people seem to want to disallow stuff like PKing with 20 others around the Graal City entrance. I don't see how that hurts anyone at all. The people who PK at the Angel Clan pond get treated as if they're such terrible people as well. You can't be mad at someone just because they aren't PKing at a tower. Towers aren't the only place where you can PK. |

I don't like riot/mob pking either, but if you've ever pked at Sardons while it's packed then it's pretty much the same as mob pking. You're just sword spamming the halls averaging 5-6 kills per death which is about the same number you get while mob pking.

About designated PK areas: I think it will never work unless it's incentivized in some way. The adoption center used to be a PK area. No one used it. Why would you go into that house when you could just go outside and PK Graal City where hundreds of noobs are going to walk by? IMO, that PK arena should have been a 2×2 GMAP (so that it can accomodate many players), a grassy level with obstacles and trees and stuff to make it interesting, and after every 3-4 hours the player with the most PKs for that time period is given some sum of gralats or announced globally to the server in the way that the spar streak/archery record is announced. |
