Since Ol' West is a relatively new server, I can understand why certain words haven't been censored since the staff is busy with the actual game.

I'd love it if the word was no longer censored. The word is absolutely harmless. The LGBT community would find this extremely offensive. Please fix ♥

-ppl making fun of it.
-most ppl that are on the game are under 16 they cant really tell if they are homosexual when they never had any sexual expierence.
-they will use it as offence to offend other people.
-people that know they are Homosexual can say homosexual instead of gey
-when rather being gay then saying homosexual then its obviously just for yourself because u wanna be special and need the attention of people ?

Send a fking permission slip to all the parents of graal classic.....
I don't care if gay gets uncensored, but some families don't want their kids playing in an environment where people could say "Your so damn gay" "Im Gay, looking for guy".
There are also different religions playing the game too.
Therefore its safe to just keep it off, because why does graal need the word Gay? it does not benefit the gameplay whatsoever.

Just wanted to make sure with everyone, i had nothing against the word gay, im just listing why it may have been censored in the first place.

Why should Graal cater for different religious beliefs and not different sexual orientations? Also, unless they're arse holes, I'm pretty sure their parents would hold the same opinion on players who are "straight, looking for a girl" as players who are "gay, looking for a guy"

There's nothing wrong with someone asking 'gay, looking for a guy'. You're making it sound as if it's a bad thing. We are all equal. It doesn't make a difference if it was a straight guy asking for a relationship.

Furthermore, it's true about what you said about some families - but it would be the same wherever the kids go. They'd be exposed to different types of things online and in school, not just Graal.

What people are trying to get across is that the word 'gay' isn't bad. Yes people can abuse it, but like what Emera said - we need to show other people that it isn't a bad word. In the end, if the word is used in a negative way - then we can deal with that, as moderators.
