DIY 3DS Game
I bet there are a lot of you who want to develop your own game . I'm going to let you create your own game and post it in the comments section. I'll put the template in the Spoiler. It was easy making the template. Use gimp or photoshop to make your image because Paint doesn't work well with transparent images.Spoiler
Challenge: Port graal classic/era to the 3DS with this image. Edit: °Seeker99 and I won!! I created Graal Era for the 3DS. See the new spoilers below. Spoiler 1, Buttons on bottom that allow you to open your status and chat, while the top screen lets you see and move around as you are changing items. Spoiler
Spoiler 2, Allows you to look at your status. Spoiler
Spoiler 3, Allows you to look at and change items in your inventory. Spoiler
Spoiler 4, Allows you to select another person and do actions such as invite to house, pm, etc. Spoiler
Controls: X=Open Map Y=Grab B=Toggle Inventory Slot 1/2 A=Use Weapon/Item R=Select Person on Screen L=Open News Up, Down, Left, Right= Aim Joystick=Walk

I think Era would work great on the 3DS, with the circle pad as the moving arund button, and the ABXY buttons as the direction you shoot in. On the top screen would be the gameplay screen, then the bottom could have all the other on-screen buttons besides the move and shoot buttons.

This is funny, ive actually made some mockups of this before. In my imagination, the top screen would be the normal graal screen with hearts in the upper right (And mebbe other things, but more screen realty is better) The only 3d part would be a popped out gui, with the game sunken inward. (Particles would be cool in 3d too) The bottom screen would display your currently equipped items on the right, and you tap to change them. (Using the physical buttons on the 3ds would use them/sword etc) On the bottom right, there would display gralats, kills, w/e is necessary really. The bottom of the screen would display option buttons. Settings, profile, news, w/e. On the left would be the important part. A scrollable list of nearby players. It would show the players who are nearby, mebbe within a level or 2. Clicking on one of them in the list would open their profile and show options for that player and crap. I think it would be really smooth and work really nice. That way the upper screen is fully uncluttered for pure gameplay, and the bottom screen is fully utilized as far as touch capabilities and usability. |
