So I just got SSBB on Saturday and I'm enjoying it a lot so far hehe :3

****ing casual scrub lord freaking playing brawl? u w0t m8? we all know theres only 1 smash brush and thats maylay. You can't even wavedash or L cancel in that casual game. Freaking noobs.
The only thing brawl does right is launch Project M

I've never played any of them beyond Melee, unfortunately, but had a blast with it. SSB has quickly grown to be my favorite fighting game series of all time.  

I went with brawl because it was my first,I went back and played the others but none seemed as fun so i continued with brawl I play the ssb4 at my friends house. Its a shame they got rid of subsoace emissinary as well.

Favourite charcaters kirby because I can play as him pretty well but Im trying to main robin and pacman now

I never understood why it was concidered the best, probaly by good memories...
I only got into the smash bros games when brawl came out
melee was fun but brawl has a better story while the new smash has the most characters with better quality.
Its a tie between brawl and smash 4 though i voted for smash 4
i want to see a story for smash 5

robins good, i like sonic ,ive been trolling my friends spamming around the boxing stage lol  

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the dodging is way too effective in Smash 4. I don't remember it being that good in the other Smash games. I still think it's my favorite so far with the awesome multiplayer and character selection. Not so much for its stages.

melee was fun but brawl has a better story while the new smash has the most characters with better quality.

melee was easily the best. It was the best because there is so much depth to the game and a mere infinite skill ceiling. Its also far superior because you can combo, non infinite chaingrabs (except for ICs wobbling but that is hard to do and its very very very risky), the game is fast paced, no one is how they seem to be (ganondorf seems to be a tank with **** recovery options but he has one of the best in the games and can be fast with perfect wavelands), there are tons of ways to play characters, shields aren't OP, air dodging isn't OP, and a lot more.

Brawl was easily the worst smash game. It was the worse because easy infinates, broken characters (metaknight and ICs), air dodging OP as hell since no end lag, planking, super slow and campy, no really useful ATs, low skill ceiling, and chaingrabs are way to easy and one grab can land up to 80%.
Brawl was just broken and OP mechanics. There is a reason why the Melee meta game is still evolving and is more popular now more than ever in the 14 years of its launch and brawl is basically a dead game. That game died within a year because it's that bad.

It is way to effective in sm4sh, but its nowhere near as bad as Brawl. In brawl air dodging canceled out hit stun making combos non existent along with others and it had no end lag if you air dodged into the ground.  

I voted brawl because I want another story like the ash space Emissary. Other than that I'd say SSB4

i was just awnsering sardons question of why melee is considered the best vs brawl. Brawl is the worst in the series but its not a bad game. Its fun to play until you get to competitive play where its a hell storm. I never said i despised brawl at all.

Melee>Project M>Smash 4>Smash 64>Brawl

Melee is my favorite because rolls aren't stupidly broken (looking at you sm4sh) and there is more than 1 viable character to play (*cough* Brawl). The pace of Melee is very quick when played well, and there are true combos, something nearly unique to Melee, and by far to the most extent. Good Melee play looks incredibly skillful and beautiful to pull off as opposed to the other titles in the series as well imo.

Character Mains:

Melee: Fox, Falco, Jiggs
Project M: Fox, Falco, Mewtwo, Jiggs, Roy
Smash 4: Captain Falcon, Jiggs, Ganondorf
Smash 64: Link, Jiggs
Brawl: Meta Knight (no other viable options)  

Lmao the rolls in sm4sh are pretty much the same as melee with i think 32 frames. What makes rolls seem so OP is lag online and high end lag with no way to cancel or wavedash
