Onnet Post Office
The concept I am proposing is this - - A post office building in onnet town with two rooms, a front and back. In the front room: - A desk with several post office NPCs, through which players may send letters to each other (similar in function to the current gift tags) that arrive in a post box at their house. - Players can speak to NPCs send a short message to each other and possibly a small item (bug, loot, gralats). This requires a purchase of special stationary items which alter the background of the sent message, as well as a stamp fee for delivery (increased if there is an item sent along with the message). In the back room: - A confused NPC who is desperately trying to sort out the sudden massive influx of mail that has been the result of the new post office. - Players may talk to the NPC in order to take on up to 5 randomized daily 'delivery' missions to in-game NPCs for a small stipend upon successful delivery. After delivering all their daily mail items, players may receive a certain number of random stamps... what are they for? In another, separate location: - An NPC stamp collector who pays players for stamps of different types that they find in their travels. Alternatively, players could be rewarded specifically for completing a collection of stamps. Introduced In-Game Functions - Mail sending (at home mail system) - Stationary Purchases (packs of 10 or 50 sheets, possibly holiday themes) - Daily message delivery missions (Gets players to travel & learn the map) - Stamp Collecting (Complete collection and smaller reward system)

I think it is a great idea. However, I do not see the message side or the item sending idea being implemented due to it being the start of a trade system. Apart from that, it would make a great new building! |

Thumbs up on overall idea and clear explanations But like Droid is saying if there is a mail system where u can send items or gralats, it's like a trading system. People can send 1k hat, gst hat, item, rare 2009 items to their new account or get items stolen like era. (kinda what thallen was saying in the other thread). And we already have a PM system, if we are only allowed to write plain letters, people won't use it at all. Only thing I like about is delivery mission and stamp collecting book in ur inventory. we can turn this to a santa's workshop on every winter and get free gifts a day for helping him. |

Sending messages and letters? PM system was created for a reason. Everything else seems good.

Stamp collecting reminds me of Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Which was really awesome and I would be overjoyed if classic implemented it... like seriously please do. Holidays could have their own stamp station with special stamps that you could collect, special areas (zone, fan, grotto, resort) could have their own stamp too, as well as individual towns. Maybe some NPCs could have their owns unique stamp... Bernart gives a stamp of the strange statue, Elster gives a stamp of his collection. Please implement this, I am seriously wet thinking about it. There doesn't even need to be rewards for stamps, maybe an NPC could give you gralats for every 10 - 15 stamps you get, kinda like the bug obsessed guy. But really, it would be seriously amazing. I also like the mail delivery thing, would be cool if you could get mail in the mailbox furniture item. |

But yeah this idea is pretty cool. Oh but wait that means I can send tower hats and GST hats to my friends!!! Oh no!!! Oh wait no because WHY WOULD THAT EVEN BE ALLOWED #commonsense, I'm here to give it to you But in all seriousness, the idea is cool but I think it would work better if the stamps acted as a group of things you have to collect. I would say it could be similar to the Easter Egg Hunt event we have on Classic. There is a certain amount of stamps to collect, some rarer than others. You could also be able to trade stamps with other people to try to get really rare ones. (I would say about two or three stamps that are really difficult to get, for example every 1,000th person who does the letter quest would have a small chance of getting one of these stamps, and there could be ultra rare stamps that are only obtainable during the holidays (Halloween, Christmas.) Once you trade in your collection you get a cool item/gani/mount and then you can start collecting stamps again. |
