Where is this? I got the miner's hat years ago, so hell if I remember. Wasn't it from the old secret cave you had to bomb open north of Graal city that's long gone? *Immediately goes onto Graal to search* Edit - I knew I wasn't going to find anything. But I wanted to believe.

just trying to get some interest in the loot selling... that's the way it should be, anyway... And as for the miner hat, I believe that he was stuck on a little island of ground in a big empty expanse somewhere deep in the railroad tunnels... |

So Dusty, any updates on the balancing of the looting system? I have a lot of loot piling up but I still have no interest in selling most of it (minus the stuff that can be sold to the various NPCs throughout the map). Here's my suggestions: First of all, increase the value of the "rare" loot items. You should be excited when you loot a Dagger of Famine or the rare Wand (the name isn't coming to me right now), but in reality, these items are only worth 75 gralats (they're actual value is 150, but since no one but the hoarder can purchase them, that's a moot point. Yes I know the unusual gem can be sold for 150, but that still seems like a very small amount for such a rare item to come by). The chainless flail (which I would consider an uncommon loot item) can be sold to the blacksmith for 75 gralats. So essentially, it has the same value as the much more rare loot. It just doesn't seem right. Secondly, as I've said before (in this very thread), it would be nice to have more NPCs that purchase loot items at their full value. We've already been over this in detail, so I'm not going to repeat myself. I personally think doing this will help make looting a viable way of earning gralats. Yes, it's winter now so most of the bugs are gone, but if I'm looking to make gralats, I never really even consider looting an option. I think some changes need to be made, sooner rather than later. Edit - I have one more specific idea. An NPC in Oasis that buys the "rare" loot items (maybe he can be someone in the black market, and he could be placed in that dark building with 2 rooms that currently serves no purpose), and let's say the value of said loot items is increased to 500 gralats. This would give players further incentive to purchase a VIP subscription (since, without access to Oasis, they'd only be able to sell said items to the hoarder for 250 gralats). |
