1 person who is against this idea is speaking intelligently and without angst. As far as attacking everything Comyt says because I'm Alumni, I should point out I've agreed with him before, and don't even consider him an "enemy" (in whatever kind of game these forums have been made into with the same 2 sides disagreeing). Yes, I'm definately for this idea, and if Comyt has his reasons fine. However, if anyone doesn't agree, a "I don't like this idea" or "I don't see this working" is faar better than "This is stupid." Idc who you are. Inb4 goat says I'm sucking up again but oh well. Note that I never called anyone stupid on this thread btw. There are other ways to type!!

Ignoring this stupid flame war going on well to the idea... I do disagree with it however I do wish to see a streak room because I do like to spar against guilds vs alumni,apostles etc. It sucks waiting like 15mins in a queue to get put against a random noob guild that just stand in 1 spot and spam because it is just pointless.

Anyway basically just have a streak room and implemente a view queue system where you can see the queues of the spar room by saying a command.

If they liked towering they would perhaps have a 10k mount. Nobody said you had to like towering to hat chase to 1k a few times.



I don't understand your logic here. Anybody can participate in the GST, anybody can join a tower guild, anybody can join an event. Not everyone, however, could beat Alumni in a guild spar. There are only a few teams that could do it, and most only actually come together right before a GST.

Like someone said before in this thread, you want this idea to get another custom hat.

Anyone can participate in towering, anybody can join a towering guild. Not everyone can actually take and hold towers therefore it is clearly pointless and should be taken away.

You have a good start but, It's people with VPN changers and people who are further away from the graal server. I could go online with anonymous "VPNs" and change my location to Africa. Oh, and you also forgot to mention how corrupt the spar ratings are.

Spar ratings can't really be corrupt the amount of points you earn depends how good your opponent is so in order to get high points you'll need to beat good people.

Also the reason no one can seem to beat Alumni is because so far by reading this thread half of you assume they are gods and don't even care to try, they aren't that hard and they sure as hell wouldn't be the only spar guild doing this.

People who enjoy towering have activities so why not add one for sparring people? Just because you don't personally like the idea doesn't mean it should be disregarded.

Also Crafts as stated earlier, they could probably get a faster 1k hat towering this isn't about a hat its about having a larger variety of things to do.

Also Alumni isn't logged on 24/7 so there will be times when they aren't even defending it.

This is exactly what I'm talking about in my previous post. "Come up with an idea that benefits players who will not be good at it just as much as players who will be good at it."

the point is to improve the server as a whole and for everyone. picking up candies, getting all the eggs to get a morph, getting the most eggs and so on are things that promote competition and gives everyone a realistic chance of winning.

I know this is going to hit a soft spot, but any and every idea that encourages activity and competition on Graal will narrowly benefit a small percentage.

Good? you mean the people that live on the other side of the world from the server and choose to abuse their 3g network in order to have an advantage over other players?

or do you mean the players that do everything in their power to improve their pc'c performance to have an advantage over the majority of idevice players? the same ones that had a chance to prove how "good" they were by using a idevice(more even playing field) and refused because their man fingers were to big for the small screen? yeah i dont really consider them that good until proven otherwise

I was never good at the game and I excelled. I excelled so much, I have so called "good" players asking my friends about my main account. Weird.

People that are "good" always excel without needing special benefits. Shinta, comet, kevin, nite, Simple-Z just to name a few.

Apply this same logic to the GST. Let's stop holding the GST because it fails to "benefit the whole community" and instead rewards a "small percentage." We should probably shut down towering and events, too. It's not fair that the people who are good at towers get rewarded for being good at towers!

The GST has space for almost 700 people and everyone has a realistic chance of participating in it and winning a match or two. Towering has had many noob guilds reach their 1k goal and everyone has a realistic chance of taking towers. Didnt they change the events to a que system so everyone would have a equal and realistic chance of doing them?

This suggestion would give less than 50 players a realistic chance of competing and half of them would probably not care about it.

So the summary of the counter-argument is, "This shouldn't happen because Alumni would beat everyone." If that's honestly what it is, then I can disappear from this thread in peace. I genuinely appreciate your honesty, because at least you'll come out and just say it in plain English.

IKR? thats as stupid as someone saying I kissed comet's ass because i agreed with one of his points. Weird how the same scenario is seen from different perspectives by the same person.

Honestly reading everyone's responses and ideas, it seems more sparrers are replying rather than anyone else. I feel like towering should be what it is, towering. Implementing a gs system into the tower system changes the idea of "towering" and overrides it with sparring. This idea generally benefits sparrers only, and sparrers already have a gst every 3 months which is generally how long average, non 24/7 sards tower guilds get 1k. Really what i think that should be added is a gs streak room b/c it seems that's what we are getting at.

I dont disagree with thallen because i dislike the guy. I usually do it because i dont have the same mentality that he does when it comes to certain topics. Or I just feel like messing with him because we been having pointless arguments since the pc thread and it doesnt take much to start an argument(i enjoy arguing for no reason in case you havent notice) with him because he takes graal too serious.

Can we get an option to completely disable on-screen chat or a friends-only overhead chat? This will probably be used by very few people, but seems easy from a coding standpoint (at least the former does). 99% of the time I'm sparring, I just don't want to see what the other person is saying. I'd love to be able to just ignore it, but it kind of bleeds across the screen if they're sitting around the arena and it's just too many people to individually block.

I'll apologize anyway, as promised. You have proved me wrong. (See, I'm not just a child on these forums, I can admit to mistakes guys!!). Anyways, gonna try and get this back on topic.

Once again, I feel like it would be a good idea, even separate from the towers, also because the way the mechanic of spar getting time would be a little bit difficult. Although the core idea of another streak room for guild spar with some end reward would be heavily favored by me, with towers being included in the system or not.
