well, it's definitely not me arguing - check my 3 (4?) posts in this thread it's very easy for me to ignore people who post nothing constructive, people who don't spar or tower, etc. it sucks for the discussion that there are people who use these forums exclusively to follow me around and obsessively type rage/hate paragraphs for hours on end, but it's very easy for me to deal with |

Read the "Graalian's Bible." -Comyt 1-1000 or -Thallen 1-1000 it's very detailed and eventually they find out they're father and son living in the same house. It's a really dramatic story, but true.

Lol I really am just saying to stop being so negative. I am not trying to get myself in this. All that I am saying is that everything that Comyt posts shouldn't be Negative. As I stated before . This Forum is for positive/helpful opinions. Comyt eliminated this by starting the Argument by posting something Negative. If you wanted to hear what my opinion was here it is, I think it would be pretty cool to have this because then guilds that enjoy guildsparing could have fun doing this in a PK style sort of format. I think it would make guilds more competetive because it would bring a new thing to Graal and typically on Classic when something is new People tend to do it. I think it would also encourage people to do it since there would most likely be a prize of some sort (if you got a certain amount of hours) |

The problem is that some people don't care about what would make Graal more interesting or active. Their main interest is making sure other people aren't able to enjoy things. It's narcissistic people in the community who know they wouldn't do it, or wouldn't be good at it, so they don't want to see others enjoying it. I think the worst/funniest argument against ideas promoting competition within the community is, "This shouldn't happen because someone will be the best at it." That type of statement is a prime example: people on Graal are very jealous, and their concern is making sure you don't have fun and get rewarded for being good at the game. It's literally unfair to them that people who are good at something get recognition or rewarded for it on an online game. That's weird, right? I don't catch bugs, but I definitely think the people who are the best at it should get something. I also think it should be expanded and improved upon. I'm able to say that because it's a game, games are meant to be active, competitive, and fun, and it adds something new. How can someone literally say, "No, they shouldn't get that!" I guess I'm just not a jealous person? I think this is the same reason why there will never be support for a singles tournament. No one can come up with a reasonable explanation as to how it negatively affects the game, but 90% of people don't support it. The reason is because they'd hate to see someone else win it. Those same people won't make their own suggestions to help improve the game, and if they do then I guarantee it'd revolve around the idea of limitations or restrictions on people. "You can only win this many hats." "You can only be this good." "You can only PK here." "You can only spar these people." |

Blazee: I think it would make guilds more competitive because it would bring a new thing to Graal and typically on Classic when something is new People tend to do it. I think it would also encourage people to do it since there would most likely be a prize of some sort (if you got a certain amount of hours) Your idea is basically a new lag area. Also, people don't want bad graphics its just insulting toward the game's reputation. I'm not saying the game hasn't lost its reputation but, come on really? "I think it would also encourage people." Yeah, lets encourage a monstrosity. I truly think that is totally the way to go. Sometimes, I really want to hit you, but that's animal abuse. You must have been born on a highway because that's where most accidents happen. Your idea is probably one of the biggest accidents if it was living its reality but, sadly it's going to die like the rest of the bad ideas you morons say.

implement ideas that benefit a small population of the community 0o How did the streak room work out with promoting spar? Now people stay away from the spar rooms because theres always some player with a crappy connection stalking the room. I know delayers get a lot of negativity thrown their way, but a lot of the players abuse their 3g/4g network to strengthen their delay which cheapens the spar. If people really cared about GS the GS rooms wouldnt be ghost towns in non gst week. This will just lead to someone exploiting it for the purpose of getting a hat. Trust me when I say it wont promote competition. Nothing promotes competition because tryhard players are always looking for a way to cheat or exploit the system which cheapens the event. If people want to suggest something, try to make it where it would realistically benefit the whole community and not a small percentage. |

You have a good start but, It's people with VPN changers and people who are further away from the graal server. I could go online with anonymous "VPNs" and change my location to Africa. Oh, and you also forgot to mention how corrupt the spar ratings are.

and how is one supposed to be positive in a thread with a really stupid idea? if everyone was "positive" in a thread, that would mean we are all agreeing. read through, we are not all agreeing. how stupid are you? this is literally the worst argument i have read in 2014. btw, no matter what i post, if it is disagreeing, every single alumni member would still have hopped on it because of how heavily all of you suck up to thallen's ideas. "it would make guilds more competitive" "there's no question that guilds would do it" yeah, like who? what half-decent spar guild would actually participate in this? because i only see about 6 of them, and none of them seem to care about towering at all. this is only for your own benefit. if this is added, you will see just one overly attached, extremely laggy guild vs. 50 noob guilds who have never even placed top 8 in a gst. don't even create some bs story to argue with this. i know how much you hate to admit it, but i'm right. discontinuing my posts on this thread so this absolute garbage dies out before an extremely drunk staff member actually considers it. |

They don't like towering? Yet multiple people in high-end spar guilds have multiple 1k hats. You don't speak for anyone but your self therefore can not say they dislike it how would you know if they like it or not if they've never done it? This idea isn't just towering it requires sparring which they enjoy. |

This is exactly what I'm talking about in my previous post. "Come up with an idea that benefits players who will not be good at it just as much as players who will be good at it." I know this is going to hit a soft spot, but any and every idea that encourages activity and competition on Graal will narrowly benefit a small percentage. That small percentage is the players who are actually good at the game. You know, the people who should benefit? Because it's an online game? And people who are good at the game should excel? Apply this same logic to the GST. Let's stop holding the GST because it fails to "benefit the whole community" and instead rewards a "small percentage." We should probably shut down towering and events, too. It's not fair that the people who are good at towers get rewarded for being good at towers!

Like someone said before in this thread, you want this idea to get another custom hat. |

So the summary of the counter-argument is, "This shouldn't happen because Alumni would beat everyone." If that's honestly what it is, then I can disappear from this thread in peace. I genuinely appreciate your honesty, because at least you'll come out and just say it in plain English. I'll come back when you guys find your confidence. |
