Well if the original creator has uploaded the body to graal before there is no copyright issue with this, it belongs to Graal.

And generally any "copyright issues" with graphics on Graal are total BS. No major company is gonna go after a small game like Graal because they have fan-art of their own stuff, its pretty much free advertising. Graal won't get sued because there is hats being sold based off a Pokemon, or because some player uploaded a Spongebob head they made.

I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm wary of copyright issues, but some of my coworkers aren't, and that has led to lawsuits.

Also, the original upload "belongs" to Graal. As in they have the right to use it. However, they don't necessarily have the right to use derivative works unless they had specified that earlier.

Funny how graal denies graphics for being copyrighted when nearly half of the current tile set is directly taken, pixel for pixel, from "A Link to the Past".

The only "pixel for pixel" bits that I can see are parts of the castle and the water/waterfall.

I'm obviously exaggerating a tad but yeah, a lot of pics1.png is pulled straight out of A Link to the Past. Some parts of Sardons that you see today are pixel for pixel copies out of ALttP.

Graal was called Zelda Online... because it was actually Zelda 3 with multiplayer support. Stefan took the graphics of Zelda 3, recoded the game from scratch and added online capabilities. Fan games are not really a rare thing, and Zelda is one of those games that tend to get a lot of fan games. Back then it was free, Stefan didn't get money for Zelda Online so was he in the wrong? Nah. Whether or not he got a C&D order from Nintendo is unknown. Some say he did, he says he never did. He may have just wanted to make his project more serious, and a fan game can only get so far before you DO have legal issues. Eventually he revamped and made his own graphics and changed the name to Graal. Most of the overworld tiles ended up looking fairly unique and different, some tiles suffered from looking like cheap upscales(castle tiles mainly).

so at one point it was the same tileset and once he made it a business he just re-arranged certain pixels and called it his own.

So you are telling me, theoretically, that a signature in a forum, or perhaps when people create spongebob or mario on the call of duty emblems, that they are putting the game/forum owners at risk to be sued because some player created a graphic that resembled their stuff?

The whole "Graal receives all rights after uploading heads" could be the culprit right? If so, that is a stupid term of agreement and should be erased. There is no reason for me to give up all rights to a head when uploading to Graal. Graal really does not have much to gain from this. Are they planning on stealing all of our graphics one day to create a whole new game that the entire graal community pixel art'd for them

2)No head used as body, which aren't since the head is uploaded by the head section of the upload site.
3)Do not submit again. But why? They aren't copyright or anything like that. And pure black and white aren't used any where else than on my body since the transparent doesn't work. And for the body I just put the transparency of the site.

"Do not resubmit" usually means it breaks multiple rules, its telling you not to submit it again, not that you have already submitted it. (there is actually a submitted multiple times option for declining/accepting customs.)

I really dont understand what would make anyone think that staff just refuse uploads for random reasons for fun? It takes more time than approving it and ends up with the person submitting the graphic again because they are to dumb to realize that there is actually something wrong with it. 99% of the time you are wrong and it actually is messed up in game.

Sorry simmons but lots of times existing uploads are deleted and it really is not a just reason (maybe it VAGUELY looked like a copyright character- to the extent where it is fine, or they saw like one floating pixel and they deemed it as unacceptable (in that case, maybe they should go fix all the floating pixels that exist in the game currently with mounts and morphs before they go deleting players heads). Sometimes, they are looking at the head in a biased way. I had a head deleted one time because it looked like a sex toy. That is so vague of a reason that it is actually hilarious.

Also I dont see why GPs should ignore player heads with floating pixels while they wait for the Graphics team to fix content with floating pixels. Well then tell me, why is a skunk head refused?
Or a zebra head?
No copyrights involved, no pure white/black color, no hats.
Now tell me what's wrong with it.
I've checked and I don't see why they get refused and then 1 hour later when it's another admin, it gets accepted.
Isn't that a proof that some admins actually refuse customs heads/bodies for no reason?

One of my head(Moose head), once was refused because it looked like bambi...
I can't tell you for how long I've been laughing.

you fail to see peoples point. people just want the real reason why their stuff got denied/refunded when it doesnt break any of the "reasons" posted above. Thats not too much to ask.
