Anyone can join as long as they are smart enough to sign up, and honestly most of the teams will be people who formed one the day registration opened which that alone should mean they shouldn't get they item.

I don't believe giving losers rewards is smart, if you give them nothing maybe they'll try next year around.

Its unfair if you don't win and you get nothing bc not everyone can actually get into the gst .

This is exactly why rewards shouldn't be given to everyone. It's part of the challenge to become good. Free handouts are no incentive.

2.5k gralats for a whistle or something useless isn't exactly luxury reward now is it.

Yes, even between each spar in the best 2/3.  

Yes you can choose to switch a core with a sub  

another question,

can we play with 4 people? one of our cores decided last minute he didn't want to take place and we didn't have any subs and we can't add them because it's closed.

We have a team of 4 and we can't register for mixed since we already have a team so will they let us play?

Depends on who's hosting your match, though most of the time yeah they will let you play even if you don't have a full roster.
