Lapcap for spar maybe?
Admins should implement a lagcap for spar/events too many people are abusing their lag/delay for spar and hats.

you're asking for a lag cap on a server that can't even remain stable with 2900+ people online

People would still complain about 600ms because that's still pretty noticeable in a spar, seeing as the making separate servers for US, EU and Asia would mean a very boring smallish server for me, I'm not really in favour of it.

^In case you missed it that's the thread discussion we had about splitting the servers. Sounds like Rufus has something brewing other than Tea. It seemed like the biggest thing ppl where disagreeing on was how to split it or divide it. I'm thinking it could be made so the inner levels of every building could be housed on a second server to lighten the load on the main classic server. So when you enter any and every inner area like inside the battle arena and including other areas like: (non-player) houses, shops, caves, towers, and events you would actually be switched to the 2nd server and when you exit you would be back on the main server. You would still get all messages you would normally get as well. I haven't keep track of the current player count lately so Idk what Classic is averaging, but I would think if they did something like that it would drop at least probably a couple hundred off the main server's player count and ease the Lag a bit. There has to be at least a hundred players between Battle arena and SON's noob filled Castle alone. As for the OP. If you don't like how ppl get spar wins then dont spar them. If you have a problem with it report them and try to get an admin to investigate. It seems like from the elevendy billion other threads complaining about ppl abusing lag/delay whatever to get spar wins several ppl are singled out for it. So I would think if you got together with enough other experienced sparrers/players who witnessed this and reported the ppl to the admin staff they would ban and or penalize those specific players. Until then if you see ppl who you know are cheating or abusing there lag and are in a spar que just don't enter it,and tell the others in the spar room not to spar that person because they cheat. |

Does this mean he realizes the server needs a upgrade?

Despite pinging ~150ms to the server, I have nearly lag-free spars when playing with other Nordics. IIRC your ping alone is worthless, it's mostly dependent on the ping between two players and the quality of their connections. |
