5. There is A LOT I have enjoyed that has been influenced by japanese animation. But like, theres much that has no involvement with it at all (sports, irl friends, family)

Anime is very seldom 'deep' and is repetitive more often than not. Especially in any series where fighting is a central focus of the series.

Couldn't agree with this more. Anime can really appeal to anyone, its like story telling at it's finest. It's just who is writing the story and how they execute it.
