Its not a smash brothers game at all. Its more like a 4 player platform shooter. And it reminds me of Vanquish when he slows down and such  

I don't like the whole Beta thing because Minecraft tooks almost if not a year of Beta to finally release the official version.

Except you get the game at half price with the promise of free future content updates. Sounds pretty solid to me.

Without public beta releases the game would take a lot longer to be released. Betas allow the whole player community to act as bug-finders. Plus, it's really just a label, there were no major changes to the game between 1.8 and the final release.

yeah thats what they are doing with cobalt (i think) so i might get it for cheaper now :o

Exactly. You end up getting the game earlier(even if you don't intend to play it because it's Alpha) and way cheaper. Consider it a half-priced preorder.
