So, this is a subject I am a bit unclear on..
I was wondering what is considered boosting on any server in general; Is boosting killing AFK players, or is it killing your own accounts to gain stats? Once I was PKing at Pryat Bay while collecting eye patches, and a player came up to be and said I will be banned. I asked why, and he said because he was 'letting' me kill him.. I didn't even notice I was at the time, because he was under the baddie. So could another kind of boosting even be someone letting you kill them? It is their choice to be killed and not do anything anyway.  

That's a great question. What actually is considered boosting?  

"Boosting is the act of a user speeding up the process of gaining awards or experience in video game, typically a First Person Shooter in an online Multi-Player setting, by using methods that are not supported by the game developers and the online community. These methods include the user having one of his friends joining the opposite team and letting the user kill that friend multiple times to gain experience and kills at a faster rate than normal.

Jeff is on team A and gets his friend John to join team B. John lets Jeff kill him repeatedly so that John can "Level-up" faster. Jeff is "boosting" because John is helping him "boost" his level and statistics."

ahh, okay thanks! but is boosting classifyed as more things also? like is AFK players also boosting?  

No, boosting is merely the act of exploiting free kills. You can not boost on an AFK player because they do not respawn. A common act of boosting is when a friend(or yourself) gets on a new account(very easy with Classic) and goes to a remote area and kills them over and over to get lots of kills.

Samw thing happens in zone, a few friends will get together and get their second iDevices and place them all in a common area of the map. They will then pk the people going through the area, as well as their 2nd devices to maximize kills.  

So is it boosting if I kill some loitering nub in a alley on iZone?

No. However, if that nub was your friend or second account, and you killed him over and over, then yes, that would be boosting.  

Hint: when boosting, in iEra NEVER go out in public areas. It will turn out to be suicide.
Another kind of boosting that involves having more than one device. Set up a noob near the edge of the map, or beach and go on your regular account to meet them.(make sure that it has respawn) just kill that user over and over and over again. If anybody comes to kill the other noob account, just make the two walk away. BEST strategy for a single player who wants to spam kills. Also, be sure to have a Melee.

You do realize after two times of killing an account with the same IP, that it will not count your kills on that account for a certian period of time.

I'm not talking about the same device.If the IP is the same, this means that the user is using the same Device.Read over it again.*For multiple Device User's*

boosting is when you kill your own accounts over and over or when you convince or persuade someone else to let you freely kill them
if anyone else tries to tell you it's anything else then they're just stupid to me

An admin at Zone tryed to kill me and said'no boosting' because I was killing AFK ones to be on streak.  

I don't even like to kill other Afk players, this makes them teleport the the hospital and makes them seem less cool. Think about it would a person who says, "posted my head on my blog website,check it out!" In the middle of a bed healing seem that cool? What I do is ^ (posted in my mini-guide above) about how I kill myself on another account over and over. I like to name that account, like example2 or loading...ERROR2 for example to show people that I have permission to kill them. The best thing to do is to kill other people streaking. I like to get HUGE streaks off of nothing. Like how I got a 50 streak off a trash pick.(only for bragging rights.not that I'm overly poor.
