I got these from http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/201...-jailbreaking/ Apple also told regulators that the nation’s cellphone networks could suffer “potentially catastrophic” cyberattacks by iPhone-wielding hackers at home and abroad (.pdf) if iPhone owners are permitted to legally jailbreak their shiny wireless devices. Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said Apple won’t change its policy that voids iPhone warranties if a phone has been jailbroken. “It can violate the warranty and cause the iPhone to become unstable and not work reliably,” she said. Apple is pretty much implying that the dislike the use of jailbreaking an iDevice. I guess if you do not download copyrighted tender from installous, you are ok. The jailbreaking exemption was part of a handful of exemptions announced Monday, including: • allow owners of used cell phones to break access controls on their phones in order to switch wireless carriers. • allow people to break technical protections on video games to investigate or correct security flaws. • allow college professors, film students, documentary filmmakers and producers of noncommercial videos to break copy-protection measures on DVDs so they can embed clips for educational purposes, criticism or commentary. • allow computer owners to bypass the need for external security devices called dongles if the dongle no longer works and cannot be replaced. • allow blind people to break locks on electronic books so that they can use them with read-aloud software and similar aides. |

From what I've read it's not illegal to have a Jailbroken device where i live, i never said Apple endorses it. Regardless of if it's illegal or not it's none of your concern. |

Mine's is jailboken because my dad is too much of a cheapfag to actually buy apps. In my first 200 hours, I had a cracked Era. Try playing Era Free for 200 hours, no AFK. |

Jailbreaking is allowed in Graal in some cases 1.iFile is allowed because players use it to find heads/bodies/shields through the directory system in the Graal Classic App. 2.These hacks you refer to are only clientside. Most people will not see these hacks as if it doesn't mess around with the serverside at all. Example: Rename the Skeleton Dragon's image file to Dragon.PNG (or whatever the dragon's image file is). It will show you as a Skeleton Dragon but in the Serverside, everyone will see that you're the regular Dragon, meaning you're not the Skeleton Dragon at all really Graal Classic cannot be used for trainers, actual hacks through another app, or fake purchases. Any one of those used through jailbreaking will perma-ban your IP and your account from one of the staffs. |

Illegal actions: -Stealing apps -Stealing movies -Stealing music -Stealing gfx (for graal) If you have ifile to observe whats going on and not stealing anything you are perfectly fine. People just dont get a jailbroken device just to have winterboard and change their background. They mostl likely use it to get free stuff. From my view point, jailbreaking is an illegal action. Ive asked a number of administrators if ifile is ilegal. They all said that it isnt, UNLESS you steal other peoples work. Most of the people using ifile take other people's heads, bodies, and shields. Thats what im trying to get to you. The dont just have ifile to say they have it, they use it illegally by stealing people's gfx!!!

You can't use it to steal property of GraalOnline Classic and put it in another game/donation/etc. You are 100% allowed to use any head and body in GraalOnline Classic to your advantage... As long as you're using it to create your own head/body for the upload system.. Thats not considered illegal.. Its Graalonline Classic's property once you upload it and if they said you can use it and edit/recolor it to your own advantage for the head/body upload system, then you can use it! You don't want to use it? Don't! Who is forcing you!? How many times did every admin and half of the people here have to repeat it? |

Talking about whether jailbroken iDevices are right or not might be going a little off-topic here lol. My stance on stolen GFX's is that it 1) discourages original art and 2) makes people miss the bigger picture here; that if artists could have their own rights over their art, or even protection over their art, then the Graal income flow would expand. For my first point, why the heck would I work on a head for a week if I know it's open on iFiles for stealing/re-coloring, and it'll be perfectly legal? It'd make more sense to grab the nearest head off of Soulslayer's website and recolor. So of course it's no surprise not many people are attempting at original art! There's no reason to. My second point. Let's say that Graal decides to let artists keep their copyright of their head, or at least protects their art on iFiles in some way. I'm not saying either are possible, but work with me. Not everyone's going to throw glitter and suddenly do their own art, but there will be more reason to try doing things from scratch. With the environment like this, over a few months more and more art will be from scratch, because original art grabs more attention than recolors any day. Suddenly, people will want these heads/bodies that they can't achieve through iFiles. So what do they have to do? Make it themselves, or hire somebody to do it. People might feel generous and release their from-scratch heads/bodies for recolors. More templates for recolored heads/bodies = more room for imagination = more uploads. This leaves Graal with more templates, more original artists, more people interested in personal heads/bodies, more uploads. This is the bigger picture I'm trying to prove. |
