A burglar comes into your home. You have a choice. Which is more important to you? The burglar will either steal all your game consoles, games, controllers, and TV sets or he will steal your game save data holders (memory cards, hard drives, etc.) Which would you rather have stolen?  

Well, if he stole the consoles wouldn't the game data be gone too?

Good idea. Let's give the burglar a name. How about Rezon? Okay, the burglar named Rezon who takes their time creating a storage unit for each console who doesn't have a detachable memory unit gets to choose which.

I don't see why anyone would open the PS3 to steal just the hard drive.

Deleting the memory would have been a better option

Still don't see why they would open the PS3 just to steal the hard drive from it. Doesn't really matter though, the poll is asking if you would rather lose your memory or the games, consoles, TVs, and controllers, not how it's done.

And I don't see why anyone would steal specifically steal save data(even HDD's). That's why it's a hypothetical(ie, are your actual game saves more important than the games).
