Did you read what I said in my first post replying to Toad? "Most of the CoD hate is an extension upon this phenomenon, as CoD, being the most popular franchise; is basically the symbol of the dull state of the gaming industry."

Again, its not the fact that CoD is an eSport that I have a problem with, its the annual releases and overall saturation of the market that I have a problem with. I was only getting into an argument with you because you brought mario into this when it has no place.  

You made this whole entire thread as a mockery of the game. Obviously you were searching for some form of reaction no? And mario does have a place. It is a mario game spin off or not. But I forgot, Nintendo is the savior of the gaming industry, my bad.

Its entirely a difference of an opinion on the matter of what a franchise is. You can think that Mario Party is the same franchise as Super Mario Galaxy, but that doesn't mean its absolutely true. I was defending my opinion, and also I don't think Nintendo is the savior of the gaming industry. Lol.

The thread isn't a mockery of the game. It was just supposed to be a slight joke, and now its turning into a long drawn out debate. Look, I'm sorry that you got offended. I obviously was originally immature about the issue in the OP; but fighting fire with fire by acting immature as well isn't going to solve anything.

I think I have just as much of a right to be poking fun at a franchise as someone that is supporting it. This is a discussion forum, you know.

I don't really get the end goal here. We were, yes, discussing the mario franchise in relation to Call of Duty because I was interested in the topic. You brought an opposing opinion to my thread which was obviously more interesting to reply to than everyone that agreed with the points of my joke. (Which, to clarify weren't to bash the game itself as an esport but to critique the way Activision handles it) I didn't have a problem with what you said, I wanted to talk about it. Then somehow we got pissed off at each other because we couldn't come to a mutual agreement. Oh well.  

Prepare yourselves! For the exact same but somehow better Call of Duty!

You can say the same thing sports games as well. They've found a formula that works and are going to keep at it until they either lose it or someone else fills the gap.

In CoD: BLOPs 2, I spent 8 hours playing the campaign and 6 hours in multiplayer. EI got $4/hr of entertainment. I am fine with that. There are far more things I've spent way more on and got less entertainment value out of.  

I agree, the campaign on BO2 was actually surprisingly decent, and beats out the rest of the series and is even on-par with Halo's campaign, but the MP was just... disappointing, to say the least. Then again, so are most new games' MPs.  

Too be fair with sports as you play one for instance lets say fifa 13 and then go back too fifa 12 then it feels so wierd with the call of duty games it doesnt as its generlly all the same  

this is sad. you guys are bashing on CoD, but why? nothing is wrong with it. Some people like different games. For example, I know Pimps is a huge fan of LoZ. Billy likes MW2 trickshotting. I like CoD4. What's so wrong with a game like CoD making new releases every year? And even if you say you'll "pass" on this, you won't. No one does. You buy into the hype. Also, new engine. They're attempting to silence people like you.

Because - believe it or not - people have differing opinions. Everything has it's share of 'bashing'.
