@ dusty my 2 year old laptop i got for $400 runs gw2 and tera on lowest settings smoothly, and less graphically intensive games like HoN and LoL on high settings at 60 fps. It can also run tf2 and vindictus maxed out at 30 fps. |

Laptops in general have bad price-performance ratios, let alone gaming brand laptops. I would go for a custom-built desktop computer - you can build a decent one in the $500-$600 range. It wouldn't be playing games like Crysis 3 at full setting at a clean, uninterrupted framerate, but it will perform most games well with acceptable performance - far, far better than a laptop.
