Just put everyone in survival mode so blocks cant be broken. Its really dumb when you can break blocks and just mine around. Doesnt really feel like the hunger games how we do it now.

One major thing that will be different about this round is the path to victory. In the past rounds, pretty much the only way to truly win was to get to bedrock and mine faster than everybody else. If you didn't immediately do that, you really didn't stand a chance against anybody else.

I'm seeking a much greater balance with these games. In other words, speed-mining is still a pretty good option if you want to win the game, but, for the first time with tomorrow's round, it won't be the only option. You could just as easily win the game by just traveling the map and looking for treasure. There's also plenty of nice little "caves" or "spots" that we've created for you to hide in (if you're lucky enough to find them).

My biggest suggestion is to try to figure out what you're going to do before the games start! It will be a bit of a different start than the last ones, so you won't have much time to stroll leisurely around the map like you have in the past.

You make it sound like you can still mine, and its a good idea to mine. Not liking the idea of that. But that's just my opinion...

You're right, of course; it is the last one alive.

What I meant was there will be other ways to win besides just mining your butt off this time. In the last games, you had to quickly mine diamond stuff right from the beginning to have a chance; that will not be the case this time.

I'd suggest grabbing a bow and some arrows, too. If he builds it out of wood, then just burn it down. If there's ample snow, some snowballs would help, too.
