Also, it makes sense to me for melee's to be expensive because there is only one whereas there are five guns. Having the melee is more of a luxury than a necessity and luxury things do tend to cost more.

My views, won't be shared with everyone, but that is why I think it is the price it is. Of course, that may not be the actual answer as I was not on during the time of its addition.

Like I said, I am learning a lot about developing and the energy it takes to put into a live server. My actions back then were as someone looking in on something I did not fully understand. Now that I can see the things it takes to get stuff working and functioning properly, I can respect how some updates do take time.  

Jester how is the new melee a luxury when you have to have that to spar atm? You won't win with the starter knife.

You can't use other games to give reason why Zone is doing this. This is Graalonline. Not AdventureQuest, WoW, Runescape.

Dont use adventure quest anymore bro, adventure quest worlds is more like graal than adventure quest. And in my opinion, iZone has fallen short on its claims to being more improved than the old one. It may have fixed the controls, but the current issue with all servers are the pricing and money making ways. At first it was great, id make 2k in half an hour, now with the deduction from levelling update so you can play "higher level" quests which arent even out, it just ruins money making. Ive had many concerns with izone so far, im already tired of zone enough to where im going back to era. iZone just has to do a couple simple things, itd only hinder development by maybe two or three hours. So my message to iZone staff, dont let stupid pricing and levelling income bring this whole server back to where the original zone is, you can fix this. I still believe you can get this done and make izone better than the old one and even better than iera someday, just please be more productive and act ALOT more in player feedback.

Luxury? It being the only melee is not a luxury, that is NOT how you price things, man. It may be the only melee but what will staff do when more come out, make them cost more than the maramusa? No. The price should be based on its stats, thats my #1 indicator on how good something is, which you and the other staff have done an amazing job on already (what people dont realize is the christmas gun is like a collectors gun, its rare which is why the price is higher, its the first holiday weapon ever). And its good that your learning the development process, the best way to learn development or any skill for that matter is in the field actually doing it and recieving feedback, thats what makes great developers, i praise you for that, but once in a while, from what ive seen on servers, itd be the most productive thing to do if you took player feedback on pricing and such and adapting he price based on that, you dont have to reduce the price if you dont want to, then the most suggested route would be to buff the melee itself, which is Sams field of work. Those are really my only concerns besides you guys needing to release more missions based on level if your gonna reduce the whole payload for that, i dont want to have to keep my graal character combat efficient on gralat packs alone. So yep, other than that, good luck with the development process and im actually excited to see how you guys try to fix the pricing issue, whether you decide to reduce orices or have sam buff the guns. Yes I will continue to state melee's are a luxury simply because there will be few of them from what I know. Stefan and JWD don't want to add a lot, so the next and probably last melee for a long time will most likely be the lightsaber.

As stated before about the price, there is still nothing to buy. I have seen people stockpiling money now from winning showdown/playing PvP maps and they have all, if not, all the guns they want.

Let me put it another way. Not every single item is meant to be obtained by everyone. Not every single release it meant to appease everyone. Not every single update will be modified to the popular opinion or liking. Why? Because you are not everyone. For the people that did buy the sword, and are enjoying sparring, that is their thing. They are happy. Do you have to buy the sword? No. Do you have to melee spar? No. It doesn't take that long to make 8000 if you play smart I think.

In any case, the same people gripping about the melee spar, are in all actuality just wanting the gun spar I think. Once the squad v squad system as well as the 1v1 2v2 3v3 system is released, I am sure you will all change your minds or quickly forget this. If you want to hinder the process of these new features for us to fix the melee spar that isn't broken however, well, longer wait for you I guess.  

I payed 8k for a Melee that you only use in spar and it doesn't even show your spar record on your profile, I want a REFUND!  

The only thing I was disappointed in is the fact that your spar record isn't even displayed.

But you're right everyone has his own opinion, still think this is not really necessary.
Scares me, because the price of the saber, next melees will then be 8000+.
We'll end up at 10k+ for a melee, which will be too much.

I think that is a good thing at this point, otherwise spar WOULD be pay2win. The fact the spar is not recorded or showing just indicates it is a for fun side activity. If the records were shown then I think I would have more of a problem with the melee's price and the way the spar happens.

I hope the records are shown however, for the 1v1 gun spars as that is a more fair battlefield and in all honestly, is what should be the focus of spars.

Are you basing that off facts or assuming based on other servers? For all you know, the lightsaber will be 8000 as well and the only difference will be a reduced speed + power increase or vice versa.  

Pay2win well that's gay to be honest it isn't even skill and paying for an over priced weapon is no fun and what's the point of getting it if the spar isn't showed on yours and friends profile (win/loses) *cough* zone doesn't seem to have a good start :/

And hopefully the argument continues...

Ermm when I brought up an idea of melee spar on one of the threads I said something along the lines of:
1vs1 melee only spar (ALL melee with same speed damage range etc)
This didn't happen thats main reason i believe this idea went sour, you also say 'otherwise spar would be pay2win' well technically it is now as new sword(not worth 8k tho) is greater than dagger, so that's really contradicting.

anyways if anything The melee's/upcoming melee's all HAVE to have the same power ETC as each other to make it fair and not pay2win as you said...
maybe just make the ones that we can pay for have something more unique like a cool gani bwt the new sword gani looks dreadful.
P.S Make melee's faster.

If a gun spar was made also, it should have one set gun only for it with same damage etc or it would be pay2win again.spar is mean't to be about skill and fairness as both should have same weapon no advantage.
