There still is the fact that the 3DS costs considerably more than the standard DS, would you spend one hundred-ish more for the graphics of a console which has been around for a decade? as opposed to the standard DS which is dirt cheap nowadays.

That's like saying it's better to buy the PS2 instead of the PS3 because it's cheaper.

Also, they're handhelds, their graphics will always fall behind consoles so that's a poor comparison. It's especially funny since you're defending the price of the original DS which had graphics of the N64(sort of worse, tbh).

No, because there done making DS lite games, now all the games sill be coming out for 3DS. Not to mention the graphics are way more advanced in comparison and the 3D can easily be turned off.
