Hi guys, just wondering if any of you gfx guys know how to index 1 or a couple of parts in a body Ive seen a couple of bodies on iEra that only a few parts can change color so i knew its possible! Help would be appreciated and i know how to index bodies normally so i understand the process  

Lia's tutorial showed me how to index and it's actually quite simple. I also got help from Dusty's. I've used this on a lot of my bodies. You'll need Photoshop or Gimp to do it though. Here's the tutorial(s):

Now does this work on Paint.NET because i have been trying to learn the same.  

You can't index on Paint.NET  

But how does this work if the body has more than one color for each body part?

Do you mean multiple colored pixels on a certain area. Like one arm has 32 different colors while another has 20?  

Like if the body arms have like 5 shades each.

It really won't work on those kind of bodies unless you want only certain parts to be color changeable. You are limited to the amount of colors on a body you can make color changeable so this is why it's better to do it on bodies that have very few to no details.

with the exception of 2. do not use any of those indexes in your body image.
color the background in whichever color is in index 2

Yes, but the problem as I stated before was, my body has more than 1 color for each body part.

Then I'm afraid color changing isn't possible. Whatever colors the body is made with, it will stay that way. And changing your skin,coat, etc in game will have no effect.  

tyler see your bandaged body, see how the zangetsu doesnt change color! i want to know how to do that like not hnge a certain part of a body
