You can't consider the Wii U a hand-held gaming system like a Vita since it's more like a controller with a tablet in it. Regardless though, I agree the Vita's launch wasn't that great, however, I still have one and am all gitty from the games that will be coming to it soon.

Also, I loved Heavy Rain, so I'm certainly getting Watch Dogs when it comes out. Quantic Dream has done a great job before with Heavy Rain's story, so I'll assume they'll be doing a great job with Watch Dogs as well.

The wii u isn't anything near a handheld, whoever said that is retarted. I hate it when people think that. Nintendo did a bad job of presenting it last year. It's not a controller, either, that's also false. It's a completely new console from nintendo reportedly more powerful than the ps3.

EDIT: also, watch dogs isn't developed by quantic dream, it's developed by ubisoft montereal. I think you're thinking of that new game Beyond.

It's both, a system and a controller. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_U Both parts are called Wii U though the controller is referred to as the Wii U Gamepad. Since it felt like he was speaking of the Gamepad, I had to jump in stating it wasn't a hand-held gaming system. I'd like a legitimate source on the Wii U being more powerful than the PS3 or 360. So far I have only seen rumors and speculation without hard facts to back it up. D:

Well we will figure out in 2 hours won't we? Atleast we better...They didn't even talk about its graphical power in the nintendo direct video... Something tells me that means something if they are cautious to reveal its hardware under the hood...

Pikmin 3 looks amazing. This whole thing looks kinda fantastic.  

I still cant believe reggie said his body was ready.

EDIT: Wii u under preformed outside of pikmin 3, zombiU, and that LEGO city game, all the rest dont look interesting in my opinion... although Im definitely getting Paper Mario for the 3DS

I think that they have the right idea for all this WiiU and MiiVerse stuff, so I'm a bit excited.  

New Super Mario Bros U has a very interesting art style. I think I see Starry Night in the background. Would look fantastic in HD.


EDIT: Lego city also looks amazing. Like a lego version of GTA. And the graphics aren't half bad either.

 

Nintendo is just now getting to this gen's level of graphics.
I'm sure we can all expect the usual slew of nintendo games with a new U suffix added on to it.  

E3 2011: Nintendo announced Wii-U by showing off the controller and gameplay demos. After the show many people became confused. They didn't know if it was a new system or just a new controller. The industry bashed the Big. N and their stakeholders weren't happy. Nintendo's President even commented and said they should have presented the actual console.

E3 2012: Nintendo shows off Wii-U gamepad and plays demos of how it is used in games appearing in its launch window. Almost all of the presentation is focused on the controller and frequently makes references to using Wii motes and accessories like the wii balance board. Something tells me they didn't fix that confusion problem.

Ps3 cant do anti alasing, the Wii U seems to be capitalizing on that, and it appears to have the same level, or maybe even better, graphics than the ps3. Does that mean it will be on par with next gen consoles? Heck no, but were getting to the point where thats not really a big factor anymore, just look at The Last of Us and Beyond. Although the Wii u isnt supporting 4K, and i can guarantee you the next Xbox and ps4 will support those. By the way heres a great HD screenshot of pikmin 3, it still has alot of time to be polished off, but its looking great so far.
