As most of you may know, advertising your guild picture on GraalOnline Classic, is now a "banable" offense. The reason being; players have been showing profane pictures of men/women, and of course other images. Now I understand where the Staff Team is coming from, but why ruin for those who are trying to show off there art skills, a funny picture, or even trying to boost there confidence with a few nice ratings. So, I wanted the forums thoughts on this matter.  

Maybe from now on, there should be a sign in front of Burger Refuge that is a link to my thread where people post their irl pictures xD... Just direct them there.

But in all seriousness, this needed to stop. I realize there isn't a whole lot to do in Classic, but Classic is a PK/Spar server. Not a RP server. Maybe we need a RP server soon. I'm thinking relatively small gmap, small management team, minimal updates would do. Mainly just to get all of the 5th graders out of the REAL Graal servers.  

They promote Facebook which is a site in which you share your real life pictures, but sharing them on your Graal guild picture is a bannable offense. Rule was never enforced until two years later. Hmm...

Advertising your guild picture on GraalOnline Classic is not a bannable offense. This is separate to the issue of showing yourself on Classic though, but that isn't a bannable offence either. However, it isn't something which is appropriate for a game, the staff don't want it in their game, and people's personal pictures are going to be removed if they're used in guild logos. It's an issue of privacy really; there's a huge amount of young players and a huge amount of creeps.

There is nothing wrong with showing your art skills, using a funny picture, or y'know representing your guild like it's intended.

Promoting a Facebook game has nothing to do with encouraging the sharing of personal information, including pictures of yourself. That's what you're trying to suggest here, but the two aren't related at all.

A couple times in the past when I logged on Graal using Facebook it changed my username to my real name. I don't know if it does that anymore though.

I think it does still do that. One of my friends had a "girl" added via her facebook account linked to Classic. This "girl" was one of the ones that many people said was a boy irl and when their name was replaced with their facebook name, people found out it was really a guy pretending to be a girl the whole time.

It's really their decision on what gender they want to be in Graal, so this should definantly be fixed if not already. Not sure. This happened around a week ago.

1. Classic is a role play server, the staff have even made buildings for it.

2. Classic is not a PK/Spar server, more of a chat room. If you want to pk/spar go to era where there isn't safe areas vomitted over the map.

3. No one will play an updateless game just to chat and that server will die very soon.

4. The 5th graders are Graal's population.

1. Do you even know what a role play server is? Check out Valikorlia. That is RP.

2. Classic is a PK/Spar server as that is one of the main attractions, as well as a chat room. Anything that you can talk to with other human beings can be considered a "chat room". And furthermore, Era has a bunch of safe areas too. Era also doesn't have classic's style of balanced weapons like sword, bow, and bomb. You don't have to buy a new sword to do better, so everyone has equal potential. Also the fact that the OP was in relation to the iClassic server, not iEra, so why would you post something saying to go play Era when the focal point is on Classic server?

Valikorlia provides tons of commands for different emotes that would be useful in role playing. Did you go to last year's "Murder Mystery" play at the theater during Halloween in iClassic? I mean... It's possible to RP on iClassic. But not efficiently. Also the fact that many non-pk zones are now becoming pk makes the server more of a pk server.

You are a mature and reasonable person, Dusty, so I assume you will realize that I'm not trying to fight or argue with you whatsoever.

Let's not get off topic with pk, but really look around. Most people on classic are not adults nor very mature. Also never did I say I wanted a game filled with immature kids, I just said most people playing are very immature. And I would love a reason that anyone would like to play I tiny updateless server, and yes it would die very soon, just look at the Facebook server, none the less it won't happen anyway so no point arguing about that.  

Tons of games allow people to upload profile pictures.. Hell, you can even do it in GameCenter on iOS. People should be allowed to upload profile pictures, but give them a profile, not guild picture, for their personal garbage.

Guild pictures should be for the guild, but you can also add profile pictures, which would make a lot of sense.
