I actually couldn't care less. If you want to shade in a gradient style which add pointless colors and looks sh*t be my guest.

Post some of your pixel art on pixeljoint.com and see what they have to say about it.

Dude, Pixeljoint.com has some pretty pro graphics artist. I was just on today looking at the new work and they simply amaze me. No offense but those skateboards there wouldn't be better than any of the work on there. But that's ok, just keep trying.

PixelJoint always seems to amaze me at its fullest!<3
I always wish i could sprite in those styles... They're so crisp and detailed.

But back to your skateboard... Its flat on detail... I understand how its suppose to be similar to an iEra skateboard but those actually had some detail and more shading/variation of colors to their skateboard. To be honest, other than the bottom of the front view of the skateboard, i can hardly see any other part thats shaded
