I don't need to ask from the complaints i used to see when people are getting banned for speed hacking when they have not. Browser's seem to up the speed, which the ban system detects. Most bans are usually on PC because it is the easiest way to hack.

Ask any admins they will probably say the same thing, PC is a cheat engine magnet. I know no one that uses hacks like speed hacking, or unlimited (insert item here) on their iDevice. The only way that can be achieved is on PC. PC is the easiest to hack!

I'm saying that PC is unfair BECAUSE of these points

• They are able to use fancy tricks like the side moon walk
• They are faster
• Keyboards are easier to use, because it uses other fingers, which is less stress then one thumb
• Easy to hack

They are completely unfair. It is already shown by that because of the split up spar rooms between iDevice and PC only rooms.

I can't continue to individually argue about the PC vs. iDevice issue because I feel like my points will go majorly overlooked and ignored, however I will leave you guys with one more long and exhausting post on the subject.

iDevice users who pin the PC platform as your excuse to losing to certain sparrers:

I've played several online games competitively and love referring people to this book and the articles on it. Let me just quote a few passages here that directly apply to some things I've read in this thread.

In reference to claiming that using a PC is cheap or unfair:

The scrub has lost the game even before it starts. He's lost the game before he's chosen his character. He's lost the game even before the decision of which game is to be played has been made. His problem? He does not play to win.

The scrub would take great issue with this statement for he usually believes that he is playing to win, but he is bound up by an intricate construct of fictitious rules that prevent him from ever truly competing. These made-up rules vary from game to game, of course, but their character remains constant. In Street Fighter, for example, the scrub labels a wide variety of tactics and situations "cheap." So-called "cheapness" is truly the mantra of the scrub.

In reference to claiming that the PC is better but (for some reason) not using it:

A common call of the scrub is to cry that the kind of play in which ones tries to win at all costs is "boring" or "not fun." Let's consider two groups of players: a group of good players and a group of scrubs. The scrubs will play "for fun" and not explore the extremities of the game. They won't find the most effective tactics and abuse them mercilessly. The good players will. The good players will find incredibly overpowering tactics and patterns. As they play the game more, they'll be forced to find counters to those tactics.

In reference to the higher-skilled sparring community overcoming these gripes:

Notice that the good players are reaching higher and higher levels of play. They found the "cheap stuff" and abused it. They know how to stop the cheap stuff. They know how to stop the other guy from stopping it so they can keep doing it. And as is quite common in competitive games, many new tactics will later be discovered that make the original cheap tactic look wholesome and fair.

When you want to play any game at the highest level (and yes, I know that almost sounds satirical when talking about little ol' Graal), you find a way to win that is within the bounds of what is allowed on the game. When you tell me that I am not as skilled as you after I beat you by using one of the elements of the game, you are making it painfully clear that:

• You are a scrub
• You do not play to win
• You are ashamed to admit that you were defeated

With that being said, I hope that every PC player who is harassed for choosing to play on their preferred platform is strong-minded enough to never let the scrub get to you. The only way that they can prove that they are more skilled than you is if they beat you.

I don't even think you understand your own argument.
Now try and explain to me:

1. Why should any PC player bend to your whim and spar on the device that you clearly prefer and are advantaged by?
2. Why is it my fault that you don't have a PC?

Im not asking anyone to bend and I clearly said I would spar you on a pc server.
I do have a pc and I do use it and my challenge still stands.

The argument of "Only the real sparrers uses iDevice because it requires more skill!" translates to nothing to me. What makes you think that? Why does it require more skill?

Are you under the impression that the ability to move with more precision (which is arguable as I've seen several people able to use touchscreen more effectively than a keyboard) and strafe somehow removes any portion of skill required to win a spar? That sounds completely backwards to me. More variables and elements of gameplay always contribute to a higher skill cap.

I don’t think people say pc rs have the advantage because they have the ability to move smoother. The advantage is the speed difference. Saying pc s aint faster than most idevices its as stupid as saying ipod4 aint faster than ipod3 or ipod2. When it comes to sparring I would say its about 40% skill and 60% the device you’re sparring with. If that wasn’t the case why did the gst device registration said “to make it fair this would only be idevices” and im a tell you my experience the first day I used my pc on fb server.
I went to castle to pk and red rufus came out of nowhere to fight me. I beat him then he called me a speed hacker. I lol him called him a noob and told him I didn’t know zoom in was speed hacking. What are the odds that I would be accused of speed hacking the first day I got on a pc? The moral of the story is that you can come here and argue all you want but youre not going to tell me what ive seen or experienced myself with pcs in the iphone servers.

You can get butthurt over it or you can accept it, but there are facts you must consider and accept:

• Graal comes from a standalone PC client. Sparring was a concept designed around use of the keyboard.
• The majority of PC sparrers are better than you because they come from years of experience on that Graal.
• Just because someone spars on a PC does not give them some unrivaled edge over you.
• If PC players are so inherently good, then common sense would say to play Graal from your PC if you're interested in winning more.

  Yes it does and im a give you one example. Take Shannon I knew her because she had the 2nd worst positive spar record behind dan and since pcs were brought to idevices shes like 9k-2k. I don’t really think it was because she improved her spar skills. Shannon don’t take it as an attack on you im just using you as an example since a lot of people know you.

  So in conclusion, every time you use an excuse that relates to a player using a certain device and only being better than you for that reason, you're making a joke out of yourself. If anything, you should feel blessed that more PC players haven't grabbed a bluetooth keyboard for their iDevice and come to wreck you in the iDevice room.

You on iDevice, me on PC? At the end of the day, both of us have the choice to play on whatever device we want. You would choose iDevice and I would choose PC, and I'd consistently beat you. That sounds like your problem, not mine. You clearly have the option of "leveling the playing field" and you refuse to, so [U]stop complaining[/U

I don’t see no shame on being beat by a tryhard that’s been playing for 10 plus years. People always used to asked me for advice on how to be a good pkr and I always told them the same thing “always go after the best pkrs and you will learn from losing” hence you learn from your mistakes. AND its clear that you consider yourself some type of pro sparer so I just want to see how good you really are since I don’t recall ever seeing you spar. Again, I'm not going to waste any more effort typing out any well-thought and explanatory posts on this topic because they're clearly going to waste. I really don't understand why you're taking offense to anything I said, actually. None of it was subjective or even offensive. I'd be willing to open up and go back into if an active and at least semi-accomplished member of the sparring community comes along and wants to discuss it intelligently. It'd probably be best to do that through PMs.

I'll be on iClassic winning spars in the meantime.  

The funny thing is, Thallen, a lot of these guys don't understand a lot of what you are saying. You mentioned earlier about "blink" and it just made me laugh. Old days. There were some serious spar contenders back then on PC Graal.

I personally thought us Old Delterian Sparrers were *cough* better because our MV Spar Arena was the best.  

Pretty sure the speed difference between an newer iDevice and an older one is related to the FPS (correct me if I'm wrong). But graal caps FPS at 30 so a PC wouldn't have any more of an advantage then a newer device.

PC is not inherently "faster" and if you think that then I encourage you to ask someone like fp4 or Skyld about how movement works in the Graal client. Neither client can exceed a certain cap in tiles per second. It's easier to argue that an iDevice user would be smoother and faster (and I say faster in terms of having less client lag and thus being able to consistently move at the TPS cap) because browsers are huge resource hogs.

Maybe they'll trust your word over mine though.

I used some programs like "Game Booster"(dunno if that's the name) while playing Graal over the client, and it was kind of helpful. But nowadays, if I spar over Firefox mainly, my GraalClient and my RemoteControl are open all the time. Of course this increases my delay a bit, but I'm faster aswell and people started to think I'm using trainers. So, as Ash said, there's a way to boost your speed on a PC all the time given.
