It's a useless system. They need a W-L ratio instead. People use second accounts to boost in the top 50, lose to a noob and you drop a lot (the noob could be someones second account), and the fact that people obsess over it instead of their record. Wouldn't it make sense to have a system where it's not easy for people to boost or have other accounts? W-L ratio will show the top 50 people who have the most wins over losses.

I actually don't think we should get rid of it altogether, I just hate the current system. I think the win loss ratio system Tyler suggested would be splendid. That way a sparrer's overall prowess could be rated. Much less capricious, as well, no more losing "1000" points in one bad day and looking like a noob.

It's a lot easier to boost wins than to boost score imo.

Score is much simpler to boost. Get a brand new account and have someone let you win who has a pretty decent score of 6800 or higher and you'll be on the top scores in seconds. Wins take time and have a higher risk of getting caught because of the system they have where if you beat the same person a certain amount of times in a row they come check it out. Also, that would take a long time to do.

Also, it would be just as easy to get on top of the W-L ratio leaderboard unless they had some requirement, like 100 wins or something. |
