LAT Guide #2/3 (Noob Friendly)
Hey,
This is the second part of my First Guide, most wisely credited to Snake Rekon :) Creating a Gmap Click Here (from Snake Rekon) Once there, choose the height and width of the level, lets say 2 and 2 which will get u a total of 2x2=4 levels, okay on Prefix type in the name of the map, so for example testmap, and finally the Center X and Y just turn it into 1 each (Noob Friendly :P) similar to this pic: http://s17.postimage.org/cmt2d3z4f/Untdditled.png Click on Generate, download and unzip the files. Setting a Tile/Loading map Open one of the levels and place an NPC on it (check old guide) and type in : Quote:
http://s15.postimage.org/enrdfuy63/Untxzfitled.png so you will get that blue thingy that will help you drag the level : http://s16.postimage.org/53qkvbjb5/Untjjitled.png Creating an NPC as a Player so this is how you create an NPC which is similar to what you are (a noob) you can either copy and paste this : Quote:
http://s12.postimage.org/ufynnlwv1/dsfafda.png Once clicked, Choose a name and his attributes and start adding his commands, I'll give you some gs1 here, more in the third part...These are some basic ones : Quote:
Lets say my level is era_event.nw and the coordinates(check part1) I want is x=30 and y=30 : http://s17.postimage.org/4xiwfjbf3/asdfds.png -------------------------- Have fun building your Level! Part 3 Coming up... -Johnaudi |

You can use the level generator in your Graal folder aswell (I gues it downloads when you downloaded the offline editor). With a bit experience it shouldntbe hard to generate levels with that. You can also draw the "basic outlines" for tiles like small cliffs, water, mud, ... (just works for the normal pics1.png tiles I gues). Helps a lot if you want to draw the basics to have it more easy to plan things.

Rekon was a name given to me many years ago by a man named Dell, who at the same led Black Holst on PC Era.
I've used it for 8 years~+ |

I suggest using Gonstruct when editing gmaps as you can edit the gmap as if it was a big level. (Which it kind of already is)
An example using a gmap I was working on, the yellow lines show each single level. http://i.imgur.com/elRRU.png You can download Gonstruct here; Link Another thing you can do is use Nw2png to get a full image of your gmap. You can download it here; Link |

It's pretty much the same? Just some extra commands but a bit more advanced, I'd rather stay original cus RC opens in Level Editor
