Poll: What's your favourite OS and why?
What's your most favoured operating system, and why? Mine's Linux, as it runs everything much better than my Windows PC does for a start and you don't have to constantly worry about viruses. |

Windows, I honestly don't know why, but it's the only thing I've ever used... Apart from short usage of other peoples computer of course ;)

Windows because i grew up with it and Mac is too different.I have also never used a linux.

Windows because most programs aren't designed to be used on mac so windows users get things like jailbreaks and new software first most of the time.

Windows because it's impossible to suck. Mac is restricted to like five different computers and all of the specs suck except for the Mac Pro which is $10,000 or something. With Windows you can tailor your PC to whatever you'd like and almost all of them even the laptops can have parts changed. Windows have 1000's of different computers running on their operating system to choose from. Chances are if you buy a Windowa computer for the same price a good Mac one is you'll get a pretty damn good computer.

My friend is getting a Macbook pro for $1700 dollars because he wants something good for video editing in college. I tried to convince him that he could save $1000 by building a hackintosh pc and still be able to use final cut legitly, but he didn't think that type of money is a big deal and he likes the way macs look and feel. Sometimes I hate super rich people.
