On my second iPod (after older iPod was lost), it was Matt's Winged Hat they sold at Nafet's for a bit. Then it was the gangster hat in Snowtown.

do bombs or arrows count? otherwise it was probably a furniture item because there were no hat shops yet. I know my first useable item I bought was the lantern.

On second thought, the first things I bought would have been bows and arrows. Then a guild. Then the lantern. Then, when I got +, the blue clown hat. I managed to play quite a while without buying any hat or furniture items. Not even gralat packs. Then I got +, and it was all down hill from there... |
