Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them [Spoilers Tagged]

I need to talk about this film with someone.

I, like every other Harry Potter fan, did not want to get my hopes up for this, but went to the midnight premiere anyway.

I was totally blown away by almost everything, minus the like six storylines and CGI for some characters. Other then that it was great. If anything I honestly liked it more then the original parts of JKR's Wizarding World Films. This movie is definitely darker then the others and was overall more appealing. The characters are much more likeable as well. Because let's be honest, is anyone's favourite character Harry Potter?

I realy liked Queeny, they didn't put her in a corner after introducing her as most of the movies does
Those magic beast were amazing, they reminded me of some mythological beast and at the same time something totaly new
I also agree with you fae about that protagonist
Newt was also a great character but he didn't talk much at the beginning of the movie
I liked every Easter egg during that movie

Anyone get the refference to quiditch at the beginning. Where the lady says something along the lines of "are you a seeker?" To Newt, and he says "No, I'm more of a chaser".

My favourite beast was probably the Niffler or Thunderbird. I'm not sure yet, but they were all designed well and felt like the Harry Potter universe.

I do agree about them coming together, but I just think some of them came out of nowhere and disappear faster then they appeared.

Its name alone made me not want to go see it. That's just a horrible name. Sounds like a 5 year old's Sunday morning cartoon.

in all honesty it met my expectations
soundtrack was great character and costume design was great aswell as the setting which really worked well with J.K. Rowlings wizarding world.

I need to get it, only bought a few songs so far since I don't have much. But I really love the music and find it very inspirational and nostalgic.

Too generic. It could have been any franchise minus the not so subtle hints that mad you go 'hey this is still the harry potter universe'. Really meh.

Spoiler OKAY WHAT THE F* WAS JOHNNY DEPP DOING IN THAT BLOODY MOVIE HOLY . HIS CHARACTER LOOKED SO OUT OF PLACE. THE DESIGN WAS ** AND DID NOT LOOK LIKE IT BELONGED IN THE 1920'S AT ALL. WHA T T HE S H I T. Okay now that we've gotten that out of the way. Everything else. Yes Eddie Redmayne as Newt was adorable, and by far a better protagonist then Harry. Tina was not all that great in my eyes, she was a rather flat character but I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll be like in the future. However, on the other hand, her sister Queenie was great. A lot have said she's just a Luna copy, but if you know anything about Luna and have seen the film, I really don't think they are. Jacob. I don't know what to say about him, but he provided the much needed and appreciated comic relief. I'm really glad they included a muggle/no-maj. Credence's story was tragic and I wish we got to see more of him. The plot twist was a little too obvious for my tastes but I still enjoyed him as a character. However the person I'm most intrigued by is Leta Lestrange. Who is she? Why was she an outcast, and how was she a taker in Newt's life? I'm just really excited to see if she'll be in the next film which is said to be set in Paris, and if I'm right, the Lestranges are French.
