Hey guys, just letting you know that 5hift isn't the one writing this thread since he collapsed from a brain aneurysm after watching the first 28 seconds of the new Metal Gear Survive trailer.

After he woke up in the hospital several hours later he asked me to make this thread asking you folks what you think of this new... game...

At first I was like looks cool and right after I saw the Bow I knew I knew they screwed up.


They shouldn't of named it metal gear at all.

Isn't this just another zombie survival game?  

Yeah, definitely not buying this. This isn't MG. It's just a cash grab attempt by using its name to get fans to buy it lmao. I almost threw up when I saw the portals.  

The like:dislike ratio doesn't really suprise me. Konami gonna milk this franchise as much as they can.

Only game I could see them make and be decent would be another raiden game since Hideo didn't write the first one. Just supported it.

It was a fun sword game. I would buy the 2nd one if it ever came out

Lol remember those "Extract Wandering Mother Base Soldiers" missions from MGS-V.

They probably lived through this.

No wonder they're so ****ed up and traumatized when they see Big Boss.

They literally reused assets from MGS5 and slapped zombies in it.

What's worse is the actual combat doesn't even look all that fun either compared to other zombie games.

If this game were a mod or some DLC to the real game I wouldn't mind too much but as a fully fledged game?

 

It would of been fun if they added that as dlc not making another game with the metal gear name on it.

Not going to lie I thought it looked fun.  

I think it looks cool. I've never played a MG game so I don't care about how it separated from the story. Although, side note: I do want to buy MG5 because it looks cool. If anyone's played it, should I pay $60 for the collection they're making that involves all the DLC including Ground Zeroes (what the hell even is ground zeroes? It's a separate game but still called MG5) or should I just get the regular game for $30 without the DLC?

I don't know if this game looks like it's worth $60 unless it has story tied in, which it seems like it doesn't since everyone says it's nothing like Metal Gear. Gonna have to wait for gaming reviews before I consider buying it.  

If you want to play online maps get the 60. If you want to just play the storyline which is fun as hell just pay 30 dollars

Online is terrible, just go for the regular package.
