Let us mix and match seeds coupled with a chance component to grow in the patch in destiny to produce existing food items within the game. I want to be able to grow a plate of sushi.  

Actual farming to make food would be nice.(just dont do it like olwest)  

It's an item in the game that's tradeable (by which I mean food that goes on plates).

Classic has never had that before. So it's become a bit of a niche market. There's always players who are obsessed with collecting anything and everything, and then there's players who are market-savy and figure out creative ways to make some gralats. I personally don't take part in this, but I like being able to give food to other players. Makes for good prizes for contests or player-made events (which I love to do).

Doesn't need to be changed or "improved upon" in any way.  

Would be nice to unofficially designate an area as the food trading corner (kinda like zone fr)

Just read they have/are going to have lending in Delteria, I think that would be cool in Classic too. It would prevent scamming maybe?

You will always have scamming even with a good system. People who are genuinely bad players always find ways to circumvent legit methods. Say a system similar to that of the easter egg event is implemented for food. People seem to bring up this trading system a lot, but do not realize the flood of reports that come in about players saying they were scammed by others promising to trade if they get an upload or they get an hour of farming for examples. You would think people would realize that if something sounds too good to be true it probably is but you would be surprised otherwise.

Tldr: Unfortunately the players that abuse legit trading methods ruin it for the rest.
