You were actually a decent cod and will be missed.

With activation behind them it was pretty obvious this was going to happen. In the latest patch they added guns that can only be obtained from supply drops, which you can either spent an hour to 2 getting enough points to open one or spend $3 for one and then have a slim chance of getting one of the 3 guns available.

Their stats are extremely overpowered, and a pretty stupid decision especially when they specifically stated they would never sell guns there as they did in advanced warfare.

The whole "supply drop" system is pretty bull****, especially for people who paid for the season pass to the game for almost the same price as the actual game, as they get no advantage or access to the new items than people who don't. I don't even have the season pass myself but even I think it would have been fairer of you got the gun for free if you had it like with the peackeeper in BO2.

The only game that has done this supply/case system in a fair way was Battlefield 4, and other games should use it as an example.  

I agree, and I also agree battlefield hit the bull's-eye on that one.  

It's pretty stupid. We been fearful of this ever since they were announced back when the game wasn't released yet. Vonderhaar said that it would be cosmetics only with no new weapons in the supply drops. None. How can you say that *** then do a 180 and do the same thing that was frowned upon in AW. But then again, this is Activision. They claim the guns are balanced which makes me laugh. The new crossbow shoots fast as hell and kill you in one shot. The MX Garand is a faster firing Shieva. Sure it's a smaller clip but just put ext mags on it and it'll be okay. The double-barreled pistol shotgun is okay though as the range on it is extremely limited. Only thing I was fine with was new melees but now we see the route we are going with BO3. Don't expect this to be the last set of weapons to be in supply drops. We are definitely gonna get more lol.  

I've got to agree I enjoyed the game untill I saw this supply drop bs.
I was totaly fine with the melee skins(not that sword thing tho)

But now we have this advanced warfare sh## going on again
And might stop playing the game when this stuff get updated on my pc.

Didn't seem to bother developers back in the day.  

I bought the game for 17 dollars by selling my games to gamestop so I might as well get my moneys worth. I'm going for that sword for my ICR build.

Quite a few games made pirated versions unbeatable. Seems to be wanting something for their work. Granted, less so then.

That's not completely true. Sure they aim to make money, that's what literally every business does, but they don't just "pump out" half assed cods each year. As they have 3 publishers for the franchise, technically each type of cod takes 3 years to make (as black ops3 did which is why it has so many features, and as will the next infinity ward cod). So whilst a cod is released each year, they are each by different developers.

That's the same thing for a lot of games anyway, etc battlefield. Which again, is mostly done by the same developer (besides hardline) yet is still able to maintain a fair system with battlepacks, although whilst hardlines wasn't bad, they were harder to get than bf4

Well the reality is you probably won't get either of those unless you keep spending money until you do. I saw a live stream today of a guy spending $200 on cases, and whilst he got a lot of the new weapons, the majority of things he got weren't what he wanted or were duplicates (4 wrenches, 4 brass knuckles, 1 led pipe, crossbow and the garand- no sword)

I was kind of lucky to get a wrench as I don't buy cases, but out of all the weapons it was the one I didn't want. So i'm not really expecting to ever get to own any of these new items, or at least if I get one it's unlikely to be the one I want as I don't plan on spending money.


Either way you shouldn't have to rely on paying extra or luck to get new items, they should be part of the dlc and not separate, or at the very LEAST be able to buy them specifically for $2-5 so everybody has equal access to them. And it just means any new guns they will do the same thing. I rely on new guns to keep me entertained, levelling up and using them- that's what kept me playing battlefield 1 and a half years after it had been released



And once again, the guns are so overpowered. I consider myself a decent player (maxed prestige level 120), and the guy with the new supply drop gun (mx garand) was a fairly low prestiged player. I just could not kill him when it was 1 on 1, it just kills you before you even get a chance to react. Yet whenever he switched back to a normal gun I had no trouble out gunning him

For those who don't play bo3 or know about the gun, it's a semi auto gun with guaranteed 2 shot kills no matter where you are hit that fires very fast. Guns in black ops also have a lot of aimassist, so it doesn't require any real effort to aim, just point in their general direction and stay near them and you will kill them instantly  

Agreed. The MX Garand is legit BS. It does have to empty the clip to reload but fast mags and ext mags is all I see a majority of people that own it run. They stay in an area with open lines of sights aiming down the sights and picking targets off one by one. This is becoming to be a trend in COD games. Wouldn't be the least suprised if IW did it for their next installment.  

I thought Call of the duties died long ago, when they started recycling their game discs, must've used the same discs and mix them with parts of other games.
